Thinking of doing this next year, or maybe the year after. Charity event. Riding around India on a motorbike. Watched the DVD movie on the site this afternoon. Looks awesome.

Looks rather 'organised' from what I can see, how about trying to do it yourself with own sponsorship? (Gathered this from the 2007 event being 'sold out', don't quite undersdtand how you can be turned away from doing something for charity.)

one my my mates are leaving to Nepal this december to work for an orphanage, he pays the trip down there and thats all, 2 months of work and then he has 3 months of time to travel. the one he works for hooks him up with connections of all sorts to travel around nepal. i would like to try that as well, or similar

Didn't an English man get murdered in one of those country villages in India a few months back? Oooh, your dangerous Lamp.

Go for it - just beware that riding a bike in India is a bit different to round here (not that you need telling).

There's a couple of episodes of Fat Hairy Bikers (cooking programme with...fat hairy northern bikers in it - very funny) where they're in India on a pair of Royal Enfields and the riding looks pretty scary tbh.

Still, looks like fun - go for it

Always felt safe in India....that is apart from going on some the roads !, sorry dirt tracks pretending to be roads......
