Enchanter soloing in NF :)

Just got this silly idea, to try change playstyle as a soloer, (not that I do it much) but just found it funny after whatching a druid do it quite well in NF.
This is meant for NF aswell. Totaly relying on the pet is the idea :)

46 light, 28 mana
ML9 Convoker / Jugger 2/3
Physical Defense 4 (19%) Melee resistance
+400 hits
Toughness 3 (150 hp)
Means about 1800 hps
About 615 AF
Add to that 18% haste debuff and a 20% dps debuff.
Not to add the ally heal which is procentual and not a fixed value. meaning heals for high 300s while below 40% hp.

Means roughly a Ally hitting for 500-700 dmg every 0.7 sec (bb buffed).
Dont know timer on Summoning Mastery, but with jugger on 15 min timer and Summoning Mastery lasting for 5 mins.

While any1 jumping you as a melee will totaly regret it.
having 1800 hp with 26% item resists and 19% PD with a tank swinging 18% slower then normal and hitting for 20% less in base damage. And with you having 615 AF is alot of diff :) Should give you guys a rough idea of what a killer it is :) ill leave the dreaming up to you.. :)

You'll still only have dmg absorb if your shield is up, but still....1800hp's on a mage, nice :D

shield always up.
19% PD + the dps debuff hurts the actuall dmg while haste makes it come on slower. Just dont see any problem for any soloer to do this. im not thou ;/

So how would you kill ppl? Assuming they dont start at 1650 range I mean.

QC stun and then DD? Piercing is being nerfed, DDs don't 2 shot ppl like PBAoE does and heat is a commonly capped resist. If stun lands then ppl have 15 mins purge minimum or ceremonial bracers. MoC? Its reduced effictiveness and while in a 1 on 1 it would probably guarantee a win you shouldn't have to rely on a timered RA to win.

As a skald though, I would rather face this than the regular mana chanter atm.

P.S how viable is soloing with a caster in NF? I imagine all the archers on the bridges would love it.

Yes, I must have missed something.

Someone jumps you and melees... they avoid purge by whatever means.. your MoC is down. Now what? You hope your pet can heal you til MoC is up again?

20% dps debuff will just put me down to where'd I be w/o relics.
Haste debuff will just mean I hit harder when I do hit.
Your pet can be mezzed, slammed, mezz poisoned, Cowering Bellowed at, have the mincer free RR5 RA used on it etc etc.

Also I'd like to see a template with 400HP that still caps everything else important.

im not gonna argument vs a skald as your top of the food chain soloing.. no class can beat it if skald plays good. Never ever tought about mocing, stunning/kiting maybe dding some while pet swings for high 500-700's. Haste debuffs makes u hit harder but allows pet to get those heals off. Pet heals > slow hard swings and fast weak swings. Pet can be mezzed or whatever but by all means u release pet when it gets ccd anyway, cant do much if summoning mastery/jugger is active anyway. Release / qc new one. Endu pots/Lw1.

That's what I thought, just doesnt seem a radical departure from the norm. Couple of questions tho..

How are the physical defence resists applied? just added to normal resists or are they calculated after like AoM?
How does zone of unmana affect pets?
How come chanters can get last spec DD and 15% debuff and RMs cant QQ

Just seems to me that most classes who solo will have either the option to neutralize your pet or the option to avoid you.

Ofc you're the chanter so I'll take your word for it

A mezzed pet is a useless pet.

Not only Mincers/skalds can mezz when soloing....

ML9 assasins can aswell :)

4.IF we talk about soloing 1o1. Enchanter as a class combined with the healing ally is a killer combo. Cant imagine any class except skald/bd to beat an enchanter (notice this, without ANY RAs). Surely high det tanks (talking pre Nf now) with high dmg output ie merc/sava/zerk r a problem.

Just try it imo.. seems like you have given it a lot of thought and you can always duo etc if you find it hard surviving solo.

With 1800hp (almost hybrid hps) an ally hitting for 500-700 dmg at 0.7 sec!! (sounds insanely good btw) there should'nt be any reason for it not to work.

doubt ill try this anyway as it will req a new SC, would be a wast new artis to choose from as you will be looking at other options like omni taps/snare procs/etc,etc. and duoing c0z u have a hard time surviving is a direct failure. And not beeing able to do whats req of a chanter is n00t g0d!

Yea would require quite a lot of work/effort with artis etc.. I imagine it would work vs a lot of opponents though.. however like rulke said earlier you might have a hard time vs (decent) opponents that can immobilize your pet beyond the 10s stun...

ofc he can immobilize pet but u can always make new one. thats the point. quite sucky one for dealing damage as meant to but for surviving its np.

Tbh tho, my skald's mezz resists on blue con pets a LOT and I'm not sure why. If summoning mastery 3 was on I doubt it would stick at all.

Edit: I thought ZoU was spell de-haste not anything to do with mana like ML3 BM power leak is?

think you mean Jugger 3 and not summoning mastery. But your right with level 70 pet it will likely resist.

About ZoU ur totaly right, tought of smth else. Althou dunno if it affects pet thou. would be the kill thou!

theres more to daoc then dmg/killing.. why u think all druids r stil playing? :)

point is with this ide to try some other views of the class

Itll work no problem. Thats how I played when I was ench/light spec. Job of ally is to heal me faster than I take damage and hit with DA inbetween. Use DDs til interrupted then staff + DA/qc dd every 30s or just run and let the pet kill or stop + dd if they attack pet, (ench spec pets are no pushovers in melee).
Actual examples -
I tanked a paladin (with mincerspeedbot on same PC by look of it) to death in HW over the course of a few minutes. Heal wars :), great fun that was.
Killed a healer 1v1 using the qc make new pet strategy, another looong fight.
Sent pet into a group of mids at a milegate while hiding and killed one with the pet while chain healing (pet heal doesnt need LOS).
Any archer that failed to kill me in 2-3 shots basically pet died.

The new NF RAs just make it so much easier with stuff like Juggernaut and Physical Defence.

Never managed to fight 1 assassin without adds but I think the pet can outheal assassin damage from what little I saw.

I respecced to light/mana , wanted aoe damage back for pl'ing. :)

relying on timered abilities aint that bad since they are muchos short in nf.

have seen nuc taking 2 stealthers same time without active ra's.
just need a very good strafe and let the pet heal and do dmg ;p

not like that was hard before toa (with chanter).. and i doubt its harder now.
