omg - you don't read Dilbert ?

...or work in the typical office where brown-nosers and yes-men get promoted year on year

The only intelligence required in the modern business is knowing when your project still looks viable to others but is actually doomed because you are as incompetant as all the others. Then you skillfully pass it on to someone else, who may be intelligent enough to realise they are being landed in the shit but their boss has already been persuaded so tough doodoo.

*bitter*
Too true, if you're good at your job but not a good brown-noser you tend to get rewarded with the worst jobs or the ones that have been fucked up by other people.

Also don't get me started on management with no idea how to build/develop a decent IT strategy

your fucking shitting us, right? how are you more effected than someone who doesn't get any money?
so now you don't have to attend unless you can be arsed, is what your saying.

your one seriously ungrateful lazy little fuck. how the fuck you expected any sympathy or help here is beyond me. you moan because you cant get your FREE money easily enough. then somehow your more under privileged than someone who doesn't get any free money.

i cant wait till you get a job and actually need to work for your money. maybe you will come here moaning because its too much effort, and maybe your employer should give you the money anyway, but you will only goto work when you feel motivated to goto work.

its fuckers like you that piss me right off. i haven't sworn this much for a long time

well you can get the student loan to pay fees, cover living expenses and then some more money on top of that. depending how skint you are you can also get grants/bursaries. when you earn a minimum of 15k i think you pay it back at around a fiver per week.

Way to misunderstand and call people names in the process.

Im doing just as much directed study as is required, im just doing it when I want rather than set times.

Is lack of feeling motivated your "quite genuine reason" for not doing this in the first place? Oh, Earl  Kidney Dialysis is a genuine reason. Apathy is not.

I have well, I don't know what I have and neither an endoscopy, a CT scan or consultant can directly diagnose it, but basicly I feel incredibly sick at random times in the day with painfull stomach and due to feeling sick im incredibly unmotivated at times as im sure you can understand. :D

Do these bouts of illness occur the day after a heavy drinking sesh, by any chance? :p

I know no laughing matter, got a younger cousin suffering from a similar thing after a rugby accident still not actually sure whats causing it though despite shed loads of tests. Hope it sorts it self out.
