know how your feeling, after a night of RvR i actually feel like deleting my chars and stopping playing. It frustrates me to feel that i have spent weeks getting my char to level 42 in the hope i will find some decent RvR. Instead go over and die, i mean i don't even know why i buy an albion medallion as i've never used one
i really am starting to feel like a chump now for spending so long playing when all i seem to be is a walking RP facrory for the middies.
i'll have a think over the weekend about whether deleting is a viable option.
anyone else feel like this too or is it just me because it is late?

hmm ya know what you mean... I so wish id chosen a Skald rather than Thane. So depressing plodding about at about 0.1 mph when some zippy kobold skald zips past you faster than you can convingly beg for an invite. *sigh* :sleeping: That said rvr is getting better over time... everyone will be 50 eventually and albion does have a significant amount of players so you will definitly start winning more battles.... if you look at US server domination it always went mids, albs and then hibs.

I don't understand this whinning of each class about gimpiness! Each class calls the others superior. Thats called balance!
I don't understand this whinning of you about RvR!
I am a 34th season Hunteress. When I go RvR I am prepared to die. But at all Keep retakes wich I have participated in I have died only once or twice per raid! I know my advantages and disadvantages. I know my place in our lines. I know when to stay and do my work and when to retreat and get myself healed.
Btw I am usaly beside all those 50th at the door and repear the rams. You guys don't even know whats it like for Middies to go right into your deadly pbaoe!

Well, sorc aint a damagedealer really.... Sure my nukes are decent, but nothing to compared to others. I have AE mez, AE root yey. I can support RvR pretty good. But shame they dont give any rps. And its totally boring to fear so many classes when they can keel me in a split of a second. And im kinda bored to albion. And Hib. And Mid. Actually Im bored to the game. Only fun ive had in decent RvR was all those big skirmishes (And we lost em all no doubt), but they were at least fun. And then the Daoc engine ruins it all.
And balance? Mythic has never seen that word, trust me. Not that i wouldve done better, but surely someone could.
And I feel gimped mainly 'cause of Alb. So many times when ive mezzed half of mid/hib force and albs run or stay foot?... Boo. Albs suck. Alb sucks.

I understand your feeling about beeing a support class. I tried Runi and I tried Spiritmaster. Didn't liked the grouping and deleted them. As a Huntress I am not even a support class but I like it. When I once stated that I have only 1.5k rps all my guild mates wondered why since I was hunting Hibbies from lvl 25 till now (about 6-7 weeks). There was no day when I had not killed at least one yellow con. I had fun and rps doesn't matter that much to me.
I understand your feeling about Albion cowardry. They allways call us superior in strength and numbers but we are in no way! On the german servers the Albions rule. They are as good organized as Middies on Prywden. You need a strong leader who takes a small team of 10-15 people and develops your tactics with them. These people afterwards have to teach your army. If you get this done you will rule Prywden till Hibbies grow in number. I am very sure that Hibbies will own everything when they have as much people as we have. They are doing well nowadays.

The claas balancing in this is rubbish, if you want to have 1/2 a chance of staying alive without alot of friends you need:
1, mezz
2, stealth
3, range
4, speed
so having 3 out of the 4 jeriraa no wonder your not complaining. The melee classes in this game are mainly rp cows for caster etc, there aren't that many people who can survive being double bolted by a lvl50 rm or a wizzie.
A lvl40+ sorcerer is one of albs most powerful chars, easy to level as any 43+ group needs adds to move their xp bars, and awsome in RvR. a guild sorc and i were at the apk last night, 3 mids were camping it, all red to my lvl43 ( ie 49 or 50), and orange to his level 46. 2 thanes and a rm i think. we run down, runie bolts me once and the sorc gets off his aoe mezz. I go smack the caster with me big stick with a bit of help from his lougheryman pet, 1 dead rm. i engage the 1st thane as he remezzes the 2nd, and with his nuking we killed him easy. by this time the 3rd has seen the error of his ways and is legging it. ownage basically.
So kr0n dont get to disheartened, i too get pissed off when most of my RvR functionality isnt rewarded ( i get zip for healing and rezzing ). get a cleric or a friar ( someone to heal and rez when it goes a bit pearshaped ) to run around with, and you will rip up.

Do you realy want to? I thought we are playing a MMORPG... They made the classes like they are to force us into teamplay. They may have not reached their final goal but they did a good job.

I have an LVL 50 on Excal/Hib. Never played in ALb and started an alt here yesterday, and I love it =) Never had so much fun in DAoC since ages Try to play an alt kr0n =)

i deleted my SB 34 Ivan and moved to Albion about 2 weeks ago, as i porogressed i got bored and started to play in Hibernia on Excalibur, then i started to miss the middie snow and deleted all chars in Hib and moved there..... i wonder whats next

Hmm...a good idea with strong historical precedent I think.
Why can't we do this for RvR as we do for PvE - Ilearnt how to fight in PvE by being in a group - why cant we do the same for RvR?

Having an alt does seem to be helping a lot of high level characters to regain interest - it also lets you experience how the other half lives/dies......

hhmm, thnking those 50`s having alts.
they give good knowlegde for newcomers, give hints for group tactics, usual know best place to xp, all this same time when they lvl alt char.
thinking this wiev those alt´s are very important for those new player, and probably keep life little longer those high 50´s, who are important every realm.

Im gimped. Im avalonian. Hence I get oneshotted nearly by anyone. With good buffs i can barely stand one bolt now with uber 7% energy resist. Or can stand SB PA. Untill I die to DoT and second hit.
Dumb runie there. Wouldve oneshotted ur sorc before he got the mez out.
Already got an alt, 31 scout. Fun to play really. But leveling is so mindnumbing when you encounter cnuts all over Albion.
Basically I started a sorc after being one in beta, never high lvl tho, lookin for some goodie goodie rvr with mates who know how to play. One of the best experiences was when I was teamed with 8 from SotL and whooped Mid ass at MMG. They knew how to play really.
I've done enough RvR to know what its like now. So dont gimme any crap of that shit. Let me have my selfpity. Prove me that alb/albs dont suck and perhaps Ill try a bit harder.
(then again, why even bother sigh. Im collecting pity here, please gimme more)

Layl has got a right to complain on this one. Sorcs, ugly stepchilds of CC. Sure they CC well but any assasin can pick em off in their sleep (and probably do so). They are the first to go down in every battle, not like their more beefy counterparts in the other realms. This is why we have so few of them. (and its literally costing us battles)
But (and this goes for you as well Gombur !) nobody is forcing you to stay if you think albion sucks.

Well naturally each class has some enemy realm class that is a major threat. Then again... later on those archers will have their own problem grow bigger, assassins with stealth uncovering abilities (a lot later on )

80 % of this "this class is uber he can (insert ) me in (insert)" is complete nonsene .. .believe me ... more than a dozen times i read "this cahr can do this and that and therefore is uber" .... ichecked it and .... nothing of said above was true or there was a small fault that changed the whole thing "

a bright example ... reported by a (insert) who attacked a ranger that already had his arrow in the bow ( draw time 3,5 sec after 2 secs uninterupptable .. but for ALL archers) and 5 mins later screaming in the forum rangers can shoot while attacked... thats how myths are born
and no im not trying out all cahrs seeming to be uber i just try out ALL chars.
Nobody shall feel flamed here the thing i want to say really is:
Relax all ... its not 100% balanced but its well balanced at all
no need to change char, play a month and find out nothing said was true the new char is as "gimped" as the old one, losing a month playing time = frustration
or even deleting it .....
