Thats good cos thats a new 1 and your virus checker found it. I use norton and it didnt even pick up on a subseven2.0 let alone a subseven2.2, I had both server side trojans whilst testing .

The level of intelligence (no direct offense intended) that allows PC users to get these things on their pc's in the first place worries me.

Exactly Chetan, however i would of worded it like this:

The level of intelligence that allows PC users(that means you Super_gray, you retard) to get these things on their pc's in the first place worries me.

I unistalled GameSpy.. Re-installed it, done a Trojan Scan (Norton never detected anything) it installed perfect, ran the trojan scanner and it found the same File that was infected with the SubSeven.... Are GameSpy doing anything Illegal by installing Trojans?

Nope, unless they're deceiving you.

trojans themselves are perfectly legal, however i have a feeling that if they say certain things, this would be illegal.

I presume it's just an advanced peice of spyware.

Well GameSpy itself works fine without this .dll i deleted (located: C:\Program Files\GameSpy\icqmapi.dll)

But im confused why GameSpy the biggest (i think?) Gaming Network thingy around would plant one of the worse Trojans around.. hmmm

Super_Gray, that ICQMAPI.DLL is not a trojan you idiot, its the gamespy ICQ integration DLL. Ever notice that wee checkbox in your options...icq integration? Its not there for nothing! Oh, and my advice to everyone would be to update ur virus scanner all the time. Super_Gray, you have norton, and it found it, so erm..1Moon, it might just bee a gud idea to get that updated. One thing Super_Gray, how the feck did you get it in the furst place? I thought firewalls had a purpose!

firewalls are only useful if you dont have a thick arsehole on the other side running strange programs that havnt been checked for trojans :p
