Went to see his new show in Nottingham last night, absolute comedy gold lol. Anyone else due to see him? Anyone else there?

Anyway hung around at the back entrance afterwards (I can see you giggling you childish bastards :) ) and got to meet him after the show. Nice guy, had a quick chat with him about the show, got a picture, autograph and shook his hand.

Always been a huge fan of his, though for me his latest tour (the one before this) was a bit of a let down, he isnt performing anywhere near to where I live so I'll be getting the dvd instead!

Goin to see him in Manchester on the 7th, have had tickets since about 30 mins after they went on sale back at start of the year. Glad to hear it's a good show, although I had no doubt it would be.

I think Eddie is absolute pure genius myself - totally fantastic, and I'm jealous. His recent charity runs were amazing!

I tell you what I'll ninjafy via paintshop (cheap version of photoshop) myself in the picture I had taken with him and post it tonight when I get home.

Yes the material is much better than the last one, he's also dressed quite normally, jeans, tshirt and long tailed jacket.

I asked him about a very small reference to alien at the end of his show where he said something about Eddie Izzard of the Nostromo signing off, and how I liked it. He wasn't sure if he'd got the name right so I confirmed it for him in a very childish and giggly way lol.

He's a very funny guy...

A couple of comedians I'd love to see live include

Dara O'Briain,
Sean Lock,
& Frankie Boyle (such a wickedly superb sense of humour)

I find him ok though his James Mason impression is impressive and I did like the Darth Vader trying to get served in the Deathstar canteen stand-up routine.

Aye, that's VERY old now though. Lots of photos of me, so I relay my request for you to man up. I mean I willingly put the stuff about AIDS in my own photo.

LOOK AT MY MASSIVE COJONES.

Well went to see him in Manchester last night, have not laughed so much in my life, spent a good chunk of the show in tears from laughter. Definitely gonna have to be picking up the DVD when it's released at end of month.

I saw it in the magic mod forum. the last thing I want to see before brekky is Wazz in the buff. how you got him to pose for you is a mystery to me but I guess there was a severe ammout of rohypnol going on there o0

I kind of went off Eddie Izzard over the last few years (Sexie tour onwards really) after seeing him 3-4 times in the 90s, so if he's had a return to form that's good news. He'll have to go some to top cats drilling for oil behind the sofa though.

I saw his show on tv the other day and thought "meh" tbh. Only shows I really like are the older Connelly ones.

Unrepeatable up to Dress to Kill were comedic gold, he went off the boil since then but if he's back up to the level of those earlier shows then his new one will be brilliant. DaGaffer picked one of the best parts ("Cat, are you drilling?"), also in Dress to Kill (I think) facing the audience and asking in an exasperated tone "do you even know there are other countries?". The guy's a legend.

I tried to get tickets for the NIA but it was predictably sold out, will eagerly await the DVD. :)

Myself and Mycenae saw this last November at the Lyric in London. It was good, certainly better than 'The Circle' or 'Sexie' but sadly not as good as the older shows (Unrepeatable, Definite Article, Glorious and Dressed to Kill).

Unfortunately Eddie seems to have lost some of his edge and funniness as his film career has taken off.
