But I think making it legal will have dire consequences because x and y will be trying them out and it may be an incentive for people to try to legalise other drugs and expand into that particular area.

im not sure i agree with this. from things ive read over my time i dont believe the gateway thing to be true and im sure ive not read anything with proof to say its a real thing for everyone.
no one in their right mind is going to legalise things like heroin. though our government does like to make stupid mistakes, just look at the ban on magic mushrooms.

secondly, the things i hear on the radio are most certainly biased.
saying E scrambles your brain and makes you need a new one is a load of fucking shite.
No such thing on Belgian radio. England just stinks, really. xD

Exactly, it only takes half a brain to know whats potentially dangerous and what Is't, they shouldn't of banned stuff like that, instead created warnings for people :p

Exactly

As I said in earlier post, E's used to cost £10, over 10 years ago, because they were pure (or almost pure MDMA) and the high was 100 times better than the high you get these days (the old boys amongst us would confirm this). The reason they only cost a couple of quid these days is because there is hardly any MDMA in it.

Agreed, I am not old skool by any means but Im well into the drum and bass scene so these drugs are sort of a branch of the whole scene. If you want pure mdma these days you are going to be buying it in powder form, or buying something like 2ci's where you are looking at between 8-12 quid per pill.

xtc 15 years ago was being made/shipped/sold by "crinmals" you really think between now and then they give a shit about the quality of pill that the punter is gonna be eating? i doubt it, only thing thats changed is supply and demand.i know there is different quality in pills.. but saying that back then all pills were better and more expensive is a bit out there..

you can still get plenty of good quality pills now adays.. and you can even get a nice and simple pill testing kit of the internet , so you know what your taking b4 you shove it down ur throat.

my views on drugs are that people who havent really experienced the drug shouldnt really comment on it. such things as crack/cocaine can be exempt from this for obvious reasons.. but having the naive opinion of oh my god , cocaine? xtc? you'll die... sure it might happen, but you also might get struck by lightening or the old .. if you smoke hash your going strait for heroin 5 days later.. its just stoopid and sad!

but abuse of any drug will take its toll on you , i think thats fundamental for most people, but not everybody ofc :/

the infamous skag .. when you blow the head of yourself with 12+hours of xtc abuse and consume over 10 pills.. ofc your gonna feel like shit when its finished.. 12 hours of binge drinking gonna fuck you over.. 12 hours of eating toast gonna fucking fuck you over.

but xtc in moderation can be amazing, and in my own personal opinion and alot of others for that matter, LIFE CHANGING.. (and for the better too smart asses)

/rant off

ps. (dont knock it till you tried it.. if u can guanertee quality ofc)

pps. i like pie

I'm not disputing you here tris, but where did you get this information about acid from? Are they from personal experience? I've never heard anything about visual awareness problems. Bad trips and flashbacks I have heard about, but aren't they very rare?

Worrying that you will have a bad trip, before you drop an LSD tab or microdot and you WILL have a bad trip which will probably be one of the most scariest things you will experience in life.

Simple fact is, E's WERE better back then, without a doubt

Well - the thing is - i'm not sure why tobacco is legalised since it is a damage causer to not only the user but those around him. Then again, governments love income and smoking generates a lot of income. Quite insulting that they see income as a greater revenue then a much more healthy population.

Then again, if they made smoking illegal, i'm sure the US's attempt at prohibition would be much the same thing - although at least people won't smoke it in public so much.

Alcohol isn't illegal because it's so easy to make that its impossible to police it (see rise of the mob in the USA in the 20s).

I would say drugs are illegal in the USA mainly because they want to keep people productive and at work as much as possible. If you ever tried to work the day after getting high, then you know what I mean. There is an interesting TV series on the histories of illicit drugs, different episodes for each drug. The actual reason that many drugs became illegal are kinda funny.

I don't care if drugs are illegal or not. I think that the people who want that experiance are going to seek it out legal or illegal. When I was very young it seemed alot more interesting that it does now. Now my drug of choice is coffee :( I am not judging those who choose drugs, but for me the chemically induced feelings aren't real and don't last. I would rather experiance real emotions.

Here is a youtube link to the first part of the series.

depends how high we are talking, ive smoked a half ounce at most during the parties me and a few buddies used to have. the day after resulted in a 12 hour strech of sleep.
but on the flip side ive gone to work (at 2 different jobs) after smoking a joint. to be fair it did effect co-ordination but it did also make the day feel shorter and much more care free without effecting my job.

depends on the quantity i guess :)

Sadly I have to operate a 35 tonne SWL over-head crane at work, sometimes lifting and turning over 30 tonne die-sets.

If I came to work stoned, i'd be sacked on the spot :( they get very upset when you drop a 30 tonne metal die on the floor, or bump it into the roof support beams, even when your sober :( (it tends to leave very big holes in the concrete floor).

The US Government is so full of shit :p
The final remark made me chuckle "...the question is, will anyone belive them?"

No! They've lied the whole time and run studies akin to the tobacco companies' studied regarding passive smoking :p Totally biassed.

I've only ever taken this once myself and tbh it was kinda funny but not really something I want to do again - maybe the E I took was shit I dunno?

I think its in the same league as weed : should be legalised, manufactured to high standards with rigorous testing, make the people aware of the potential issues, oh and tax it :)

My guess is that the people at the DEA in the US are against ALL drugs that alters your perception. And theres no discussing this with them. Best example might be the E case. Clear evidence that its a good drug for treating people with certain psychological problems without any side effects (well seen in the light of alot of other drugs used to treat various diseases. Still E got classified as a class 1 drug which means it had no medical use and is a very unhealthy substance. Clearly if they had looked at the actual evidence at the time they couldn't have classified it as a class 1 drug (taken from the video). Hence my belief that they are generally against all drugs, and want to prohibit whatever they can get away with.

And well generally if a drug is illegal in the US its prolly also going to be illegal here. And THATS why i believe certain drugs are illegal.
That was done due to a proved WRONG research by some US guy, which ofcourse was promoted by the US goverment.. Thats when all the "Just Say No" propaganda started. Pretty fun to read about all his misstakes he did in the research :)

i still see taking drugs as weakness in a person really. ive managed to go out and have fun while being totally sober. If someone needs to take drugs in order to sort out the flaws in their personality and allow them to have a good time? well its the easy way out imo. a stronger person would work hard to better themselves without resorting to harmful drugs.

god thats the most stupid thing i ever heard..

Yes you can have fun with out takeing drugs or getting drunk but you dont have fun in the same way...

Well as far as i understood the documentary the first research that proved E to be dangerous was actually wrong because it wasnt E that was used in the research, but instead metamphetamine. And surely the researcher must have know that which makes me conclude that the research paper was supposed to prove E to be bad no matter what.

But still only my theory :p

CONSPIRACY I TELLS YA!!!

I went into work after smoking weed at a break and I was fucked. I'm not sure whether it's because I hardly ever smoke weed, and am therefore a lightweight to that drug, but my short term memory was all but destroyed and I had a severe case of cotton mouth. This was particularly annoying as I was working in a call centre at the time, I just counted myself lucky that most of the people I was talking to seemed forgiving when I was asking them the same question three times. Also, it seemed to make the day drag on rather than make it go quicker for me. It wasn't really an experience that I'd like to repeat anyway.

hehe, i also worked in a call centre when i did it. i seemed to enjoy it a whole lot more and it was easier to create general nonsense chit chat with the customers (while getting the problem fixed mind you).

btw i dont advocate people goto worked stoned. not only could it be dangerous but you may loose your job etc.
