it really is responses like this which make me wonder if you thought this through.
who said anything about everything in life should be a challenge? i care not that its forbidden, the thought never crosses my mind. i dont sit there in the serenity of my room, listenting to my classical music and think "omg tris-, this is illegal, DO IT DO IT".

if i want andrenaline (which why would i if i plan on relaxing?) id be out competing in something competitive or doing something daring (smoking pot isnt daring).

the only challenging thing is resiting the chocolate. once you taste it there really is no going back.
Ofcourse I didn't give this a thought. How could I? I've not been tempted to take it so I cannot know nor comment on the feeling that it gives you. I just gave some random examples why people around me fuck around with drugs. So you're taking it to relax? Just as you tell me that you can get adrenaline by competing in something competitive, I tell you that I can relax by just .. you know, relaxing? Getting some chips, some softdrink, a video/porn. And whoosh, relax.

Each to his own ofcourse, but whatever.

I havent taken E for over 5 years now. I found it a lot of fun when I was young, really enjoyed the experience but a combination of the quality of supply and increasing age made me quit. The comedowns started to last days and wernt worth the night of pleasure. I wont touch it again, mainly cause I know how low it can make you feel after and I think that affects your overall mood and attitude for a hell of a lot longer than most people realise. Your effectivly happier than youve ever been on E, but happiness is all relative and some part of your subconcious misses that new level that your very unlikely to achieve without the help of drugs again. I have a lot of fond memories of hugging random strangers, dancing like an idiot and shagging for hours that ill treasure. I dont regret taking E, but I wouldnt recommend it either, if you want to expand your horizons go take some Acid and learn more about yourself from a drug that is far less toxic that caffine and doesnt mess with your seretonin and domapine levels like MDMA does.

i agree with you there when i was taking them week in/ week out it started to get to me, feeling more shit fuirther in the week. But on the flip side cammy done that to me too, i put on weight became a recluse etc.

Bugz not going to use the your too young etc, just want to know where have you heard that pills are addictive? they are not addictive at all. Some ppl get mentally addictive to the experience, not just the pill but the social experience, no such thing as bullying. Everyone gets a fair chance no social herachy (sp) or nothing, going into a club and ppl being geniually happy to see you, having a group of 30+ mates all the time etc. Thats not the drug itself thats a perfect social balance

EDIT: i have cut down but its the same as everything, all in moderation. I'm happiest i have ever been, fantastic job with great money. Learnt photography professionally through my experience, still have to closest nit group of friends i have ever had. So to break some ppls ideas i'm not a waster i am more successful because of the drug community. When i left the Army my drug mates looked after me, coming round during the week and generally looking after me in the time i was really at a loss

maybe i didnt word it correctly. i dont purely take it TO relax. but if your already chilling out why not expand it past the limits of what is already available?

on the same note as sparx, im also not a waster since i started to consume cannabis. im not saying it made me worse or better as a person. though if you want to class being more open minded and experiencing other cultures (at home and abroad) as being better thats upto you.

bit late for that now. but sure, i would be all for that to as i dont drink ;)

but if they knew back then what they know now about alcohol and tobacco, they would have been banned to. why? because they cost to much in healthcare.

but plain banning something thats beem legal since day 1 of discovery (apart from a few years in the US) would cause such a massive uproar and quite possibly violence, its just not doable. slowly phasing it out might work but i doubt theres a country that would be willing to try. mostly for tax reasons, job opportunitys and stuff like that.

Well its only up until recently that marijuana has been illegal. 30 years or so (don't quote me on that) compared to the thousands of years its been known.

And even if they are bad for you thats not a reason to make them illegal. First off, you pay extra taxes on alcohol and tobacco for the purpose of paying that extra healthcare. If its enough i don't know, but you get my point. Secondly even if it has a chance to kill you or fuck up your life why make it illegal? Theres lots of joys in life that can kill you or cripple you (even joys you pay for hehe) but you don't see the governments running around banning them do you? Even if the risks might be the same? So why do they ban stuff like that if not for the safety of the people? I don't know. But i'd very much like to know :)

Well withdrawl symptoms are very closely recognised with pills & as you mentioned there's the mental side.

Although you can't class this as hardcore addiction, it's still present.

edit: contrary to the above post i wouldnt recommend LSD to explore your self. not only are you chancing having terrifying flash backs but you could also end up with a lifelong problem with your visual awareness. salvia on the other hand... im not saying anything, last time the thread got closed for some reason :\

I'm not disputing you here tris, but where did you get this information about acid from? Are they from personal experience? I've never heard anything about visual awareness problems. Bad trips and flashbacks I have heard about, but aren't they very rare?

'cause it's rather unhealthy? Hence the illegal part. And surely you'll disagree with me on this with some I-don't-know-what arguments, but as I said, each to his own. I do unhealthy stuff aswell ofcourse.

a study was done with different groups

1) went to a club done pill
2) went to club didnt do pills
3) stayed at home done pills
4) stayed at home didnt do pills

Both 1 and 2 had the exact same feelings so did 3 and 4.

The believe that the shitty feelings is alot more to do with sleep depravation and exchaustion combined with dehydration that causes the moody feelings etc

I have done pills at home and felt great in the morning so i know, for me anyway, that this is true. If any of you lot have had sleep depravation, exhaustion from dancing all night, listening to filthy hard house (shut it gamah) and dehydration you would know that all causes moddiness and general feeling shitty

well so is your chips etc that you like :)

everything is unhealthy at the end of the day, but we do it anyway.

there is really no casual proof as of yet on its unhealthyness, except it may contain more tab than tobacoo. in what quantities this is, i dont know.

btw isnt the shitty feelings (on MDMA) with the mood down to the levels of serotonin or something? thats going out of my depth now but thought id throw it in there.

Would you like to back that up with statistics?

You won't be able to.

Who needs statistics when common sense can answer it.

Food like toast contains a lot of carbohydrates and fibre. While not considered addictive by the masses, if you tried to gofor 5 days without eating anything that contained fibre or carbs then you would feel pretty shit and would crave a slice of toast like never before. I know this as I have recently been on a fairly strickt diet. Im sure many people will agree that 5 days without carbs and fibre makes you REALLY want something to eat. You are addicted to nutrients, your brain reinforces the desire to eat in a similar way to many drug addictions.

5 days without an E, well even at my most decadent I never really gave a shit about having any of the stuff. Sure the odd club night felt kinda poo cause we couldnt score and dance around like lemons hugging people who we thought where our best mates, but I never felt I physically needed an E, its not even in the same ballpark as toast ;)

After 'I Love Techno' (a notorious whole night dance party, filled with filthy hard house, dance and a lack of drinks) I didn't feel shit really :p I guess it's just my young nature :D

(I Love Techno is quite known for it's E users btw :p)

edit: even went straight to studentjob afterwards!

if we knew the answer to that we wouldnt be having this discussion. i can understand why some are illegal, such as opium based drugs. its obvious to anyone they are extremely unhealthy.

Yeah ive never heard anything concrete about visual awareness problems, unless you think seeing a pasiley pattern on everything for hours is it. Most of the reputable reserach ive seen into LSD leads to no physical problems at all as its less toxic than say a cup of tea.

It can of course cause mental problems to those with latent problems or an immature mind. I was probably wrong to suggest that anyone tries Acid. Someone should be old enough to understand the implications and be 'settled' in their personality and state, and be in a safe familar place to even consider taking it.

Everyone is unique.

It's why surveys are conducted - to find the most probable situations for drugs.

Just because a drug isn't addictive to you, don't mean that 74% of the population will feel the same way.

No offence but you're single experiance of a drug is worth fuck all because everyone has different reactions and tolerants to drugs.

a single experience does mean something otherwise there would be no point carrying out experiments.

True but when you're dealing with addictiveness and the such, single experiances are very limited in painting the wider picture. Just because Boni is able to last without E's, doesn't mean that others can.

But yes, fair point, I should really write things in less of a questionnable way :)
