1: Do you buy ecolocigal products in favour of standard products?

Nope.

2: Do you care if you'r products are ecological or not?

Nope.

3: Why (if) don't you buy ecological products? (price, etc)

Price is a good point, most are x1.5-x2 more costly. Also i don't feel it would do much good(taking into consideration the amount of people still not buying, even if i did).

4: Do you find it hard to see if a product is ecological (marking etc)

Not really, it doesn't stand out, but i check products rather well before buying. I'd say it has around a 30-40% chance of seeing it without looking for it.

5: Do you think you would buy more if it was advertised more that the product was ecological?

Nope. Over-advertising might even hurt my buying desire.

6: Do you care how other people see your shopping habits?

Can't say that i do. It's my money to spend, if i want to stick it in a shotgun barrel and shoot it up my arse, my choice.

2: Yes
3: - (I wouldn't complain if it became cheaper, though :p.)
4: No (clothing is a bit harder, though)
5: I only buy ecological products, so not really.
6: No

(From Belgium, by the way, if that matters.)

1: Yes.

2: Very much so.

3: Occasionally, when cash is short, I plump for the healthiest alternative.

4: I don't find interpreting packaging hard, it's just time consuming cutting through the shit. Of which there's a LOT.

5: No. I do everything in my power to avoid all adverts. I'm happier for it.

6: Not one bit :)

Listen..

My radiators are set on max 24/7 while my windows are open to air out my bedroom

My house has no isolation

I usually leave the shower on for 10 minutes before I even touch the water to check if it's warm enough for me, which it usually isn't so I bang it up a few more degrees

I never turn off the light as I hate to walk about in darkness

My computer is on all hours of the day so I can just drop my lazy body into my chair and start owning noobs

I wash all my cloth at 50C just to be sure it is clean. All underwear, bedspreads etc get 60C ofc

I could easily ride my bike to school, but as I cba to get off my ass I walk 20 metres from my front door, get on a bus where I chill the fuck out every morning for 40 minutes and I'm taken to the front door of my school

My main diet is meat, usually cow or pig. So when I get home from school I kickstart the oven by pushing it to the limit so my mom can get cooking my massive amount of meat meals

I fart fuck loads. More than cows. It has been proven

My parents drive a car that does 6km/l because they want comfort and you don't get the from a mother fucking hybrid

And no.. I never buy ecological(isn't it called organic!?) food

1: No.
2: No.
3: Price, time necessary for shopping.
4: I find it hard enough already to see if a product in hand is the one I actually need. Why are there a thousand different shampoos? And who the fuck needs kiwi in their shampoo? Hair is dead matter (keratin)
5: No. Too much advertisement out there already. There's something called "Information Overload"
6: No.

By the way, with veggies I do tend to check if it's local-ish, save a bit of diesel used for transport. Easy to see here because the country of origin is on the price marker.

Going by the assumption that you have ecological where we have Organic...

1: No, its a scam most of the time.

2: Yes, I would rather buy/eat local produce that I know has been farmed correctly, not in some shit infested foreign farm where they couldn't give a crap about animal welfare or planning for the future, a good farmer will look after his land and that around him, including the eco system, despite what the cardigan wearers will have you believe. Its in his best interests to do so. I buy meat from the local butcher, veg from a grocer. "cupboard" food comes from the supermarket and is bought on price/quality alone.

3: Because most of the time the word is meaningless and just gives the armchair eco warrior a stick to beat people with.

4: Yes, see 3. They can print it on anything really, most of the time its utter bollocks. For the most part its the same product but with 10% added to the price.

5: No

Nope. I guess you should stop chilling on that 40min bus ride to school and try studying for a change :)

i'd rather not buy ecological if it's meat. The non-ecological animals welfare are in most cases better, as they're getting penciline and prober medicine there. That's not always the case if it's ecological.
I like ecological fruit if it's from my own country, however I tend not to buy it if it's from somewhere else. Ecological Apples from Germany are usually injected with more chemicals than non-ecological.

ecological means its ecologically sustainable that is not the same as organic.

Thats just an assumption you made.

To be ecologically sustainable means to use a water resource that is not dwindling .. it is not made on farms that are supplying a western population while their native population is starving or living on very little.

It can be grown with artificial fertilizers and such as long as they come from sustainable means.

I cant tell you that anything on a supermarket shelf can be guaranteed from any source that applies to those points .. they claim fair trade .. that just means they pay the growers a bit more not that its sustainable ... organic just means without chemicals .. not that the water source used is diverted from communities that need it .. that it takes x amout of CO2 to transport it from god knows where ..

I think the only ecologicaly sound food you can find would be from a local farm direct or via your back garden

SHOCKING NEWS - FH is killing the earth!

A recent poll showed that only 2 out of 9 FHers buy ecological food. But answers from other forums had as high eco-food friendliness as 80%! ;)

1. Only if the taste is affected for the better.

2. See 1.

3. If it is ecological and it tastes better, the price doesn't really concern me.

4. Not really

5. No

Ecological products taste so much more. Just an ecological tomato, or an egg.

1: Do you buy ecolocigal products in favour of standard products?
Sometimes, depends. I prefer fair-trade over ecological stuff. (humans>nature). If the price is about the same i'll pick the eco over the normal one for sure.

2: Do you care if you'r products are ecological or not?
Yes. For example here in finland the "eco" tomatoes taste a lot better than the normal ones. Don't ask me why.

3: Why (if) don't you buy ecological products? (price, etc)
Well, generally i consider +1/3 price to be ok, if the price is double or so i'll go for the cheaper one.

4: Do you find it hard to see if a product is ecological (marking etc)
No, it's quite ok at least in here.

5: Do you think you would buy more if it was advertised more that the product was ecological?
No, I am aware enough already.

6: Do you care how other people see your shopping habits?
No. Although the girls on the cash register give longer looks if you have quality food instead of french fries and sausages ;P

Thanks :)
No problem.
