*holds in ear piece*

yep...yep...ok...yeeees...right, gotcha

*cough*

This is Armatage Shanks here at the site of the quake which has had Brits in uproar all morning, early reports show that a packet of digestive biscuites was severly damaged and internet usage was up a staggering 600% professor Bottomly-Hedgeclipper from the university of Chipping Sodbury even claims that the countries geographic level was tipped by the mass rush of nerds everywhere running to their PCs.

We had an interview with an informed source earlier today and here's what he had to say:

"Vell it is clear to me what happened, it is obvious that their is only one possible reason for this catastrophic event to have taken place...Prince Phillip was undertaking a test launch of his mothership and the sheer quantity of power needed to achieve lift off caused a vaccuum under the whole country. Once the mothership, or Buckingham palace as it is otherwise known, reached its maximum capacity by sucking out energy from the national grid Prince Phillip was satisfied that if the Globular Phelomonians...or as we call them "The Royal Family" get in to serious trouble they can launch the mother ship and evacuate to another planet whee they can take over the native inhabitants and resume their "Normal" lives while practicing cannibalism, vampirrism and attaining level 13 on the dance mat.

*camera cuts back to Armatage Shanks*

Thank you Mr Al Fayed, and now back to the studio for Sophie with the weather report, sponsored by settlers tums.

no.. in the context of this thread we get earthquakes similar to this (although this is the biggest) every 10 to 20 years

You again missed the point entirely
So "Holy shit, the earth moved, to the internet!" Wasn't the point?
And even so, as you say we get them every 10-20 years... gee, so we should realy have been expecting this? Fair enough then, the earth shook, we should have been expecting it, and we forgot about it (as usual). Bad us, we should all recieve a harsh spanking.

However, I still retain the right to say "We should not be browning our trousers. England reamins standing. Take your arse's off the potty."

On related news, the world continue to turn, despite the earthquake. Shagrat was to blame ;)

I really dont understand your point, noone 'browned their trowsers', a little surprised perhaps but i doubt the majority of people ran around in circles yealling the worlds going to end, or hid in a corner crying...

there is a thread because it is an event which doesn't occur very often. And someone felt the need to discuss it
The same way people celebrated the millenium

If you feel the need to not discuss it, why on earth would you click the thread let alone post in it?
shame the quake didnt knock that chip off your shoulder

Eeben, you post so lovely things that i can't resist saying:

Usually it's "did I rock your world", but in your case i can imagine the "rocking" needs to be self-obtained *grin*
