Dvd Rw

Hi All

I have just got a DVD RW for my PC, I watched some movies on BS player before I got it, is there any other programme, I can use to watch DVD's?

Also when I double click on my DVD Drive it opens up in media player, when I go to right click on it to open with it doesnt have that option

I prefer Windows Media Player... not the new one, the old one that's just basic and not good looking and smooth and stuff.

Prefer Media Player Classic myself. No idea how it does DVD's, since I only use it for clips and trailers etc. http://sourceforge.net/projects/guliverkli/

I use PowerDVD as it supports most other formats such as VCD, SVCD, SVCD2 and whatnot...

It plays everything disc based; dvd, vcd, svcd and allows you to stream the content from one box to another over a network which is quite nice.

i use intervideo WinDVD, it came with my gfx card, and is quite good

you can play stuff in slow motion with it...

As you can with PowerDVD, NVDVD and heck, even Windows Media Player does it, hardly a 'feature'.

I have always used whatever came with the PC to watch the DVDs, cept when my old CineMaster software refused to work after I upgraded summat (forgot what). So I have used CineMaster, WinDVD, PowerDVD and Media Player, and had no problems with any of them tbh.

I was gunna suggest a look at http://www.inmatrix.com/ as it used to have information on lots of different DVD software, but it now seems to have been hijacked by just one player (Zoom). Still seems to have lots of info and links for stuff though so might be worth a nose around. I am gunna have to read through the site and decide if it comes out of my useful links now :{

Hold down shift and right click. You should find open with... has reappeared.
