dvd playback

Hey Guys,

Small problem

If i try to play a DVD it crashes the software player.

Media Player crashes and gives an error which includes "ModName: ntdll.dll "

PowerDvD crashes and gives an error that tells me "ModName: unknown"

Any ideas what would be causing this? its on a windows XP pro machine with Service pack 2.

What is the dvd chum? What format etc?

Have you got an ATI graphics card?

just a normal region 2 dvd in an asus drive.

No its an Nvidia card

your video codecs are broken/your gfx card drivers are corrupt, one of them or both....................
