But doesn't the new Dr. Who Companion (Freema Agyeman) remind you of John Tickle? Just found this video and I can't shake the impression.

I dunno, I still haven't warmed to Tennant's Doctor - he just seems too lightweight for me. Eccleston started off barking mad and hyper but gradually allowed chinks in the armour to show the depth underneath, 'Dalek' being an amazing episode. So far I've not seen anything to match that from Tennant; I'm really hoping he broadens his performance out a lot this season and gives us more depth and seriousness, there's only so much 'cheeky chappy' I want to see from the Doctor. On balance, at the moment, I really preferred Eccleston's Doctor, I think it's a great shame we only got season of him.
