Dungeons and Dragons Online - Now F2P (Turbine Only)

Dungeons and Dragons Online has now gone Free 2 Play (Turbine Only) with optional VIP subscription, and in-game Store.

Its currently open in Head Start phase to VIP subscribers, and beta testers from the closed test but will go live to everyone on 09/09/2009.

I am currently giving it a bash on the new server Cannith, and am using character name Starman.

Hopefully some will take an interest and given its F2P there is no reason not to

managed later aswell. tho i contacted their support and they gave me a key insted.

like that you can hire NPC's to use in dungeons alot. means i can finally make me that wizard hehe.

also made me a barbarian, currently soloing hard instances with it (fucking hard tho), might try a elite one later just to see how fast i'l die

This game was horribe at release, but with the Ywain wait and WAR being boring i decided to give DDO another go....boy am i glad i did!

This game is so much better than it was at release and as a f2p, it's probably the best around atm.

Tried soloing and thought, meh, this is pretty good, but nothing special, then i started grouping and oh moma! It's tough, it's difficult, it's challenging, it's rewarding, it's frustrating at times but most importantly, it's fun

Admittedly it's nothing earth shatteringly original or staggeringly amazing, but it's a solid game now. Download the high ress version, crank the graphics up to melting point and go explore, it's quite a beautiful world and a wonderfully polished game now

Ja, I'm in and playing. Runs very smoothly, I have a lvl 3 Ranger so far. Just playing the odd hour here and there though.
