Thankfully my house belongs to me, and I have only the one debt (a loan for the car).

My money = my money.

Topically :

How do you make a hormone?

Take away her credit cards...

Seriously, dont even begin to understand women. The next one u meet, give her the puppy dog eyes, she'll either hate you or love you forever. Luckily i have the latter....for 13 years, unmarried, so im still walking a fine line, we've even got a joint account.

If things were to go so sour that we splitfor good, her name is on the house mortagage first. Can't see it happening, but you never know ;)

Anyhoo, women are like buses, you will miss one at least for a while, then 2 come along at once.

Its such a long time ago that I can hardly remember but I found not giving a toss seemed to work for me. Girl friend chucks you...who cares. When they find out you havent emotionally invested anything into the relationship it pisses em off no end. Difficult to pull off cleanly though, especially if you are a soft touch like I was. I did eventually succumb but not without having some fun.

Ok, this might get some bad replies, but here goes.

Tom, have yu looked into your own behavior and seen something that might have caused this?

Did she give a reason for breaking up?

How did you take the news and did you just succumb to the result?

Or did you fight for her?

How long was the relationship?

And ofcourse, mosmt importantly, what all you forumites want to know..did you get some atleast?

Oh ffs!

I am still in love with a girl who broke up with me about 2 years ago. I think I will still be for a very long time.

I have moved on and realise we will never be together. I have dated and currently dating someone else....

The thing is if you love someone you cant always turn it off...no matter what has happened.

Jesus get with it!

Tom, that's sad to hear mate. Losing someone you loved, or have grown close to, is always difficult.

However dude, you gotta start looking at the good things. Healthy, wealthy, happy? So you don't have a girlfriend, sometimes I feel you can have mine.

Best advice I can give you is not to try looking for a girlfriend. Always seems to work....be yourself, have a laugh, but don't 'hunt'.

That way you'll end up with someone that matches you. And if it doesn't work out? Well, best you guys broke up, or you'd be stuck with someone in the end that you can't trust.

Keep the chin up blokeh!

Relationships are hard when they end, mainly cause its the only time in your life that you let your guard down, then depending on the women, they could respect who u are and u are happy together or they trounce all over u, turning u to dust.

I don't completely hate women any more, im slowly gettin there, started to see someone else now, though she lives like 100 miles away, so I don't know if it will work out.

My friends recently been dumped by his GF it was one of those relationships where u thought nothing could go wrong and they would get married, took us all by surprise even her mother, thought her daughter was stupid in leaving my friend. Goes to show women are strange folk, but we fall for them every time.

Look at the reply tris made to understand why some people that post here will never get this. they are obviously emotional voids, or 12 year olds who know no better. Either that or they are wierdos who never go out :)

No, I just realised it was a waste of time moping after a week or two. There's more to life than having a partner. But I spose being independent is bad? There were one or two times where I moped for a few months, but then I realised I'd be much better off when I'd weather the storm, so to speak. It's personal benefit!

I'm going speed dating in a few days, a work collegue asked me to go as they're short on men.

Now, either that means that the women are all scary and have frightened off the other men, or there will be about 4 people turning up.

Not my thing tbh, but hey I'll give it a go :)

Me and my lass broke up two weeks ago.

I am currently enjoying being single.

Speed dating might be a good laugh. Just remember, everyone is going to try and make them laugh. You have to do something unique - that will make them remember you.

Sinc everyone else is getting in on it, my and my woman split up three months ago...I've had to move house, get a new PC (well, a mac), and general turn up life upside down. But after 5 years of not being single, its a good laugh. ;)

I am with you, I was with my lass for 3 years. Not a patch on 5, but its still a bit weird.

Great fun being single though

Just don't read unique as "Drop your trousers and sing the national anthem" :D

Sorry to hear that Tom - but look on the bright side: at least you didn't mortgage yourself up to the hilt and buy a flat and a car with her, then then have to buy the flat back off her 2 months later when she fucked off with some other bloke?

That was me back in January.

Good things will happen Tom - see the above? Well as of 2 weeks ago I'm now seeing a very attractive (23 year old!!!) girl.

Have fun on the speed dating and go with an open mind.
