was massively into it for a while, went to DMZ in london last year and the bass gave me a nosebleed. pretty odd experience.

i still like it a lot but find it hard to bother keeping up with it now, although i do really love the minimal techno/dubstep crossover stuff like martyn, geoim, pinch... lots of other stuff. you can download lots of great mixes here:

Barefiles :: The first for Dubstep, Garage and Grime mixes

and you can find lots of interesting discussion, event info blablabla here:

dubstepforum.com :: Index

MySpace.com - MARTYN - Somewhere in USA or the - Dub / Techno / Dutch pop - www.myspace.com/martyndnb is probably my favourite dubstep producer at the moment, and a great example of the minimal/dubstep crossover style which is getting really big right now.

i post on another forum (a music one) and there's a thread packed with info if you're interested:

Collective Zine : the C board / Dubstep help

also if you ever find yourself in nottingham or just fancy a trip and a great night out, there's a club called blueprint where they have a night called futureproof which is absolutely incredible. they have like 5 rooms playing different types of forward thinking/experimental electronic music and silent films projected onto the wall next to the bar with the main room usually playing dubstep/garage/minimal. so much fun. i can't find any dates or whatever at the moment but yeah, can't recommend it for anyone even remotely interested in electronic music in the midlands/east midlands.

also, here is some footage from the dmz i mentioned. was somewhere in that room dancing:

great fun.

i have never been one for clubs and stuff but dubstep nights are like a totally different feel. mainly because dubstep seems to mostly attract music geeks so i feel a lot less intimidated.

i quite like it, can be really good, Mary Anne Hobbes does a good set on her radio show. My mate just got back from Japan and went to a club to see her and DarkQuan play and really enjoyed it.
