Just though I would share this.

If you log 2 clients on a dual core machine..

1. Create 2 install directories.

2. Boot one client from install one.

3. In taskmanager find Game.Dll and right click it, set Affinity . You should have two processors checked. Un check Processor number 1.

4. Boot 2nd client from 2nd install .

5. In taskmanager find game.dll and right click it, set the affinity to processor 1. only.

Now in both clients do /clientsleep background.

and you should have Lag free, No ld dual logging.

Have fun.

So did I, but when I tried this today, I stopped lagging on both instances.

i found recently that on my machine (dual core) running from seperate installs of daoc actually slowed it down, running from the same install directory is much much faster for me.

When I played, I dual logged without having to do anything of what you've mentioned.

I'm running an Intel Core 2 Duo E6400.

Ehh? :O
When i played i used same install and just assigned one core to each game.dll.
Worked flawlessly no lag, no ld, no nothing.
Didnt even notice having 2 clients logged.

Dual Core machines don't need any of those settings unless you have very little RAM and old hard disks.

i feel like i should say something... but i cant think of anything...

however, that's kinda what duel core processors were designed for, so its not really news... nor a public service:)

shame you cancelled your subscription for your 3rd account, and there for no-longer useful to you:(

Bad advice. Running two seperate installs is slower than one. Your HD cache will not work as efficently compared to only reading one set of data. Unless of course each install is on a different HD.
