Do many of you dual boot XP and Vista ?

I've got a laptop and vista on it, personally vista is wank and i've become quite fond of CS:S, it's never laggy in the slightest but i thought since vista uses 500mb of ram (or something) and xp uses like what, 100? I'd prbably get better performance out of XP.

So if i decide to dual boot would it go like this....

Load up XP - 100mb taken up
Load up Vista - 500mb taken up

or

Load up xp and it takes 600mb due to vista being on the differnt partition
and vice versa. Does that make sense?

Also, if i decided to partition you have to format everything right? If so is there a way to back EVERYTHING up, i mean the whole operation system and just wack it straight back in so i don't loose all my drivers and shit like that?

It's just a thought anyway, thanks for reading ;)

If you duel boot it asks you before they start up what windows you wanna run.. so will only take lets say 100 ram because xp only uses that..

If you download Ghost you can back everything up and restore it back with no problems. An easier option might be to install Partition Magic or similar and resize the Partition you have then install XP. That has bit me once though so you need to be careful.
