dtd ps/3 game backup

I've just sold my ps/3 to a mate with the idea of getting the nice slim model back for it. I have the dtd wipeout HD game. Do I have to back it up somehow, or will it install itself again a la Steam games?

actually, the bloke I sold it to called me and said he still had all my saves o0 I'd incorrectly assumed that "reset system to defaults" would also format the hdd :/

I logged out of my account, I did reset the system to defaults and I even backed up my save games to a usb stick, because I'm getting the slim PS/3 250gb thing.

Sadly my assumption that Sony's "reset to default" thing would do what I imagined it to do was not really based on anything other than a hopeful wish
