I get dry skin on my hands, but i don't think they is anything you can do about it except just cream them up, my mum gets dry hands like me so thats where i get it from. Maybe you take after your parents?

aaaaah!!! i know this i know this
*sticks hand up and waves about going ooh ooh ooh*

well mikah me lil elphey pie... yes fish is the answer! salmon and mackeral and any other oily fish because of the omega wossnames in them, tinned tuna isnt very good because the oil dries out in the tinning process or something.

also something that will help is boots vitimin e cream its about 99p a bottle and its brilliant, absolutely no need whatsoever so buy expensive creams and stuff just use a generic own brand as long as it does have vit e in it, ive used superdrug, tesco and boots own stuff and theyre all good the super drug one is a little thick for my liking though.

also you might find some useful stuff here *ping* http://health.ivillage.com/eating/ebenefits/topics/0,,4vhm,00.html

i use boots vit e all over and on my face i use clean and clear then nivea clensing moisturiser (but i found it was waaay too expensive to use all over) then vit e after 1st two. sorting my diet out and using these and my eczma has gone

i would suspect its because of too much showering? when showering, dont let the water hit your face and take a colder shower to prevent steam as well, but im not beauty expert :p

E45 cream is ment to be good for dry skin. My flat mate and sister swear by it so probably worth a shot.

Yup I use the Asda own brand Vit E cream (99p!) or E45. If it's eczema then the chances are that only hydrocortizone will get rid of it.

I get dry skin because I'm outdoors onsite alot. Got a bit worse since its got colder.

I use nelsons calendula cream, can be bought from boots. Seems to do the job.

but i eat 0 fish as i hate it, but gonna have to force it down i suppose, cant have my beautiful face feeling horrible!

thanks for the help, ill commence vit e cream and gobbling the fishes!
also anyone with psoriasis or did have, any advice on stuff while im here! been using nivea lotion but just have rings atm, the rings wont go though:<

I get eczema on my hands and dry skin on my face sometimes coz I'm allergic to things like dust, but as long as I moisturise a lot and take antihistamines its fine. E45 cream is pretty good, but I use some emulsifying ointment... which you can get from pharmacists. I have it prescribed but you could prolly get it from the counter.

Its a bit greasy but you get used to it and it really does the job. Avoid soap... it dries out your skin... use alternatives.

not always, it can always be there in some, its heriditary in my family. The difference from psoriasis is that it's a deficiency in the immune system that cant ever be cured, as of yet anyway:) and i'm not under any stress at all, having amazing time at uni:< so its fairly dormant but its still there, just cant get rid of the bloomin few rings.

How gay that it may sound, I have to use Oil of Alaz for my facial skin and Garnier Body Repair for my body skin.

I'm asian and my skin tends to be very very dry in Western climates.

it's partly the dry weather. air conditioning also dries out peoples skin. i have a bottle of that 99p boots vitamin e moisturiser and it's quite nice for night time (with how oily my skin gets i need to use mattifying products during the day). another thing you could consider is using a cream 'tissue off' cleanser instead as rinse off gel cleansers tend to strip moisture from the skin, this is fine over summer but during winter it can cause your skin to really dry out. last winter my skin was awful but changing face-wash really helped.
also, don't force yourself to eat fish if you don't like it mikah, just take some omega3 capsules. the haliborange ones for kids are yummy :p

E45 is the way to go, contains a tiny amount of steroids which sorts skin right out. If that dosnt work, see your GP and they can give you something stronger :)
