Drops :(

Regarding drops, get a group and kill lesser banshees for swords and shields. They drop often if I remeber correctly. Regarding scale I'm not sure but Spraggon Den and later on Treibh should take care of your equipment problems. The mermen near the lessers drop a nice ring if I'm not mistaken (doable from 30 with group). The Siabras at the same place drop a pendant (doable from 30 with group).

Have fun man.

Warcry states Filidh Martin as starter, but it's actually the harper at the boat in Connla ( Filidhs normally only point you towards quest - btw, he's not always at Daingean, he walks between Connla and Ceannai, passing Daingean on his route though...)

Hmmm ... warcry also says "The European version of this quest is buggy in step #13 .........". It also gives a workaround for the bugged part. This apparently refers to the German version, as the same step in the English version is step #10. Does this mean that Germans have quests that we don't yet have?

The quest is indeed in the european version, I completed it 2 days ago.
You dont have to go to the fildith in Daingean, just go to harper Cadwyr in connla and say help.
(had to use the workaround to complete it)

I did the lvl 15 champion epic solo... with aggro siabras and survived.

Just run in prepared to give the item to macnol and then sprint the hell out of there :)

Further to my above post one of our guild (just turned level 20 Enchanter) decided to do the Macnol part last night. He did it just after levelling as he knew from his Nightshade character he would die. However, he managed it without death as he let his pet take all the aggro, while he legged it (poor pet).

Tactics seem to be all that is needed but a Champion who cannot stealth, have a pet or speed song must be the most disadvantaged class doing this quest.

By the way Sennian you must be the only other elven Champion I have seen apart from me. Welcome to an very small club.

about factions

if I am with a group killing loads of purple curms, then my curm faction will drop bigtime, because

1 - I am killing purps

2 - killing loads of them (as in most groups, you kill fast)

ok, so 10 lvls later...you cant just kill yellow siabras to get faction back for curms...

think of it as the higher the con, the more the faction drop/increase

and obviously, the number killed

so, best solution, is to group up and kill purps

Thanks Merbos, I'll try /say help. Someone else said you have to do all the quests in that area first, so I did one that Filidh Mairtin told me about.
