Dunno. Far too long ago to remember. Far to long ago to care either. It takes however many you need, whether its one, or 250.

20 one hour lessons, passed first time.

I'd reccomend that anyone who's holding off on learning to drive do it NOW :p Pretty soon i think they're going to make it so that you have to do AT LEAST 60 hours of proper lessons before you can take your test. And also I think they're going to introduce economic driving to the course, so that you have to learn all the economic driving tips and use them in your test.

I was hoping to pay for 15-20 lessons max and pass with those (and use my dad to drive me about in between for extra experience).

Lessons are so fucking expensive around here. With the student driving team, it'll cost me £330 for 22 lessons :s

Have you seen that advert with the dad teaching the son how to drive? You'll pick up some really bad habits and probably not do yourself much of a favour if you rely on a family member teaching you how to drive. Although these habits might be useful later on, if you start doing them before you pass your test you'll fail. Aren't you going to uni btw? You won't need a car for long so seems a bit of a waist of cash getting it already.

actually ment i used 5 of those. either way i got the feeling that whatever ur teacher tells how many more u need, just -10 of it and do the test instead.

About 18 x 1,5 hour lessons. My grand total came to 800 quid so thats rather cheap if u ask me, and that was 6 years back!

I've had loads of lessons. I mean lots. Like 40+ over a year or so.

£46 for 2 hours from the fucking AA 'team'. Fucking scandalous, and the instructor was a right prick.

mine work out about £20 for one hour.

if you didnt like the instructor go with someone else.
probably would have needed less if you were enjoying it more.

Well, i've seen more a-hole behavior and "dangerous" morons on the roads behind the wheel, then i've ever seen on two.

Prolly true but i hate bike riders they slow everyone down and they are too fragile for the road. Never could understand why they are on the road. I tap a bike with my car its death. If you ride sensibly on a pavement and hiy a person its broken bones.

5 regular, and 1 on what the hell its called on english I don't know, halken is what we say in swedish, is where you go to a place where you get to feel how it feels when you loose controll over the car, driving and maneuvering along a track and there's oil and shit on the road. You have to take this in sweden to be allowed to take the license

As mentioned above, but better:

About 30 hours planing Gran Turiso 4 with a wheel on Nurburgring or any course where the turns fuck you over :D

Never had a lesson, hoping to start at one point in 08. "Low Funds" currently.
