Any of you bright fellas know how to delete a mouse driver if you cant start WinXP??
Cant even start in safe mode:(
When WinXP loads it sudenly restarts.
Was thinking of take the harddisk and place it in another WinXP PC and remove the driver there. But how do I remove a driver from the OS on the harddisk I didnt boot from??

backup your stuff on another machine, and format the disc, saves your time, rather than wasting time...

It should be posible to remove a driver on another OS than the one you boot on.

Have you tried to do a repair installation using the windows XP disc?

Failing that you could probably hook the drive up as a slave drive and install a fresh copy of windows onto it...

Formatting is a real bitch.

The gr8 thing about getting a PC in "one piece" with an OS is that you dont get a OS cd with it:rolleyes:
Was thinking of doing the repair thing or install the OS over the one that is fubar, but I dont think it will fix it if it is a mouse, keyboard or video driver problem :/
Think Im gonna get a COPY of the XP cd.

I think there is a key in the reg database that I can delete that will fix my problem. But how do I get to it?
Either that or delete the driver that is fubar.

idiot,

don't format - simply re-install windows over the current installation OR in a clean directory.

im not getting worked up , just hate idiots who think they know best and post dangerous advice like FORMAT YOUR DRIVE. Formatting should always be a last resort in these things.
