Dunno the english name but :
put a deck of cards ontop off a lliquor bottle.
each takes a turn blowing cards off the top.
You have to blow atleast one card off, and once a card has fallen you cant blow again.
the one that blows the last card off the bottle has to pay a round/drink a shot/ whatever floats your boat

you probably know all these if you ran out of ideas but i will tell you anyway -

no swearing
no pointing
you cant say peoples names
you cant say "drink"
you can only drink with your left hand
everytime you have a drink you have to drink down 2 fingers worth (nearly an inch)
if you break any of the above rules you have to drink another inch each time you break them

another game i know and the only name i know for it is tommy tuppence.

someone starts off with a 2 pence piece. you wait maybe 20 minutes so everyone has forgoten about the game then the fun begins.
everytime the glass is lifted off the table you have a chance to throw the 2p into the glass. if you get it in then the person has to down their pint and they take possesion of the 2p.
if you throw the coin and miss then you have to down their pint and buy them another 1 but you keep the 2p.

thats about it.

The best drinking game is to get all of your friends who are interested in getting as retarded as possible on drink, and then force so much into yourselves you all die from alcohol poisoning.

If all the drunk retards in this coutry did that, we'd save MILLIONS a year.

Failing that though, you can always continue to damage and ruin British society with your binge drinking though.

Um don't people stop drinking games once they hit the legal age to drink? :p

My friends and I find it much better to have a drink, chat and eye up all the birds about. Much quicker to get pissed and much more chance of actually getting to do more than just stare at the women at the end of the night :)

(sorry for being boring)

Blame closing hours for binge drinking and all the side effects.

Over here one 'smart' town put a closing hour on pub during the sumer, to reduce the problems they had with drunk people.
Result : huge increase in street brawls, DUI, accidents, vandalism and people in hospital for the old stumac pumping.

Drinking games are good to get everyone in the mood (especially when half your mates dont join you until half way through the night) the aim is not to get plastered but just to have a laugh.... :D

my favorite was allways "drink the jack"

simply take a deck of cards and deal them out to everyone playing

the first person delt a jack names a drink
the second pays for the drink
the third fetches the drink from the bar
and the fourth person downs the drink in one (we had a rule where pints were disallowed)

That would be the "All the cool kids do it" attitude.

What Tom says tbh. Yes, opening times don't help, but there is a very large portion of this country that think it is acceptable to get as wasted as possible on alcohol every week. These people count for a LOT of drinkers.

If the pub closes at 11, and you want to get merrily drunk, it is not hard to do so. You don't have to rush 7 drinks down you before closing.

why does it matter to you if people want to get drunk? people who get drunk and go home cause no trouble, people who get drunk and cause trouble get what they deserve. tell me why any of it concerns you so much.

Why does it matter?

Have you not seen the effects of binge drinking in this country? Have you never seen a new 'club/bar' open in your region, only to increase crime, violence and accidents by nearly 5 fold on certain evenings?

It concerns me so much because it's causing a lot of damage, violence and crime. Amd it's costing a HELL OF A LOT of money to try and prevent.

More deaths are associated with alcohol than all the other drugs in this country put together. 1/5 road accidents are caused by alcohol. Hundreds of thousands of people a year are seriously negatively affected by it, if not millions. It is addictive and life-destroying.

And that's to start with.

Saw a programme about the effects of our Binge Drinking culture in Cardiff (i think) on BBC 1 a few weeks ago.

Its sickening tbh, it really is.

Its seriously made me think about giving up drinking at all, and i only drink maybe a couple of pints down the pub on Saturdays anyway.
