yer, lets give it another shot soon

this time in 2 large groups at opposite entrances pulling him in turns towards entrance so other grp can get rezzed.

instead of one big grp lying dead in front of it :)

we need a plan this time though,
I think I'm right in saying the dragon only uses the AOE when it's target is out of melee range, so if we could keep agro on targets in it's melee range we should be ok, we could probably do this by using 6 level 50 warriors with high sheild specs etc. & 2 healers get them to run in together using taunting styles to be sure to keep agro in melee range, then everyone else can bash it.
The problem before was the catapult got agro and everyone standing next to it died from the AOE.

reading forums, it seems Dragons ae is on timer so maybe a plan is all pet classes like SM send in pets they get ae then you zerg it.
Sadly as im only lev 20 I know you uber gods of the game will ignore this idea and go be lemmings :p

Dragons cannot get agro from siege weapons. The catapult couldnt even hit the thing as i was the one using it. :(

You mean " Tactical charge in the opposite direction" ;)

But im game, but i think the succes the other servers (US mainly ;)) is by simultaneous charging from all 4 corners and ressing the unlucky grp that gets AEd (if any) and spread out thin around it, and just keep on pushing in on it and pelt it (Skald DMGadd is a must). And killing the guards when they pop ;)

Kick his ass :) And indeed try from 4 corners, that way 3 or 2 sides will get to the dragon in time and it won't AE anymore. Ress the others (and all who can ress MUST do so). We had a nuker team standing by to nuke all the adds that spawned. Furthermore have some sort of backup team who resurrects people as well. Buff them with damage add and get to the dragon again and start smashing.

Two tank groups...1 either side and a large paramedic service (with bodyguards) to rerezz each group that goes down while the other is meleeing the scaly sod.

Job done

After the hilarious loot arguments in Alb, may I suggest the group leaders do /autosplit none and decided how to divvy the loot up beforehand.

For those that don't read the Alb forums, they killed the Dragon, an uber bow dropped to some Wizzy and he deleted his account rather than give it up.......

Not saying Middys are as lame, but prevention is better than cure, no?

dunno Killgorde.. all other posts on succesful raids says 4 grps charging.... two grps is to many ppl (i assume you mean the whole tank part of the army divided in two grps) in one spot, and g2 would be killed before g1 is ressed (g1 being AEbait)....

this is just the first thing that poped into my head, could be wrong ;)

Edit: btw, i have heard that against Epic Mobs that if you stack a RM/Shaman dmg add with skalds that it works really well.

Also anyone know if RM's can dmg the dragon cos i know when i fight RR or WoWs that all my spells get resisted?

Making sure every group has got a RM with PBT is also a must and Shamans with their Group Health Regeneration is nice.

Having Healers around the sides to mes/stun guards would help alot aswell.

My thoughts anyways ;)

a little thing about the dmg-add stacking release, it seems bugged and are being cut in half somehow... not totally sure how it works but atleast it doesnt stack 100% =)

its..not..that..easy..

last time it wasnt enough with 10 healers to rezz the dead so unless u are talking 20+ as a large paramedic service...

and to be able to take down the dragon, the "Mana drain" concept have to work.. if it doesnt u need 200+ ... if it does it can be done with 100-120ish ppl and some luck, and a SHITLOAD of ressers!!

The way it works atm (if it is bugged or not, I do not know)

The primary buff gives full value Shamam, Dark.Runemaster and the self buffs - when the skald damage chant stacks with the pirmary buff, its value halves.

Still this can give a decent value, as my thane suddenly does +20 damage or so thanks to the skald damage chant.

"Damage Add Stacking – Runemaster and Skald Damage Add spells do not stack properly. When a Runemaster with a low level DA stacks his DA with a high level Skald DA, the Skald's (higher) DA is halved, rather than the lower Runemaster's DA. This ends up resulting in a much lower overall damage output than just using the Skald DA by itself. DA stacking needs to be changed to halve the lower of the two DA's, rather than simply halving the pulsing one. As it is, NO Shaman and MOST Runemasters cannot stack their DA's with a Skalds because the Skalds is almost always higher level.
