Being the first raid I am organising after a long while, I have contacted all the members in game, so no spots open for this one.
(For the following raids there will probably be openings)
The raid will start Thursday 4th, Gna Faste at 20:00 CET
Everyone who is in the groups will receive one full and one ra stone and they will be allowed to lotto for the drops.
Preparing for the raid:
- Make sure you know and understand the general/specific roles and the hints described below.
Feel free to ask me any questions regarding the following notes.
- Every seer should have 30 power pots
- Every other power user should have 10-20 power pots
- Gate guards should have 5-10 end refill pots
- Make it so that you can get in time for the raid. Don't keep the people waiting because you <insert random reason here>.
- Feel free to bring additional support chars (i.e.: Buffbots)
- /cg join Gothic
- Seers have the following macro ready: /macro ress /chat Ressurecting %t
****** VERY IMPORTANT RULES ******
Rule1: If the dragon is calling your name it means she has a nuke ready for you (that happens to be an AE nuke). This is where you must RUN AWAY and only come back after she fired it off.
Rule2: Dragon is sometimes PBAE nuking without mentioning someone's name, but will give hints (like: Dragon inhales, breaths). RUN AWAY and only return to melee range after the nuke goes off
Rule3: Always use face on the dragon, never stick. Always stay in melee range, except for when rules 1 and 2 apply
Rule4: Except for when the rule 1 and 2 apply, be in melee range from the dragon. NEVER cast spells out of the melee range. NEVER cast spells (i.e. heals, buffs) on ppl that are out of melee range
Rule5: When the dragon is getting below 50% hp and all the way until she dies, she will randomly spawn yellow-orange con dogs called Scaled Retrievers. They must be stopped and killed. If any of them runs into the forest the raid will be over.
Rule6: The warriors in Group No.1 must get and keep the aggro from the dragon. In order to better help them with that, everyone should read Aggro Management Section below
Rule7: Taunt styles: Wild Call, Provoke, Plague, Draw Out, Snowblind are not allowed! The exception to this are the warriors in Group no.1.
**********************************
SPECIFIC ROLES:
Pac Healers : Buff Power Regen on newly ressurected power users. Can use small heals on main tanks and ressurect players. If only very few targets die, ress them with some delay.
Mend(/Aug) Healers : Redo base buffs on newly ressurected targets. Use celerity on regular basis. Redo resists whenever someone is ressurected. Constantly heal the Group No.1 warriors using small heals.
* Read Aggro Management Section carefully
Det Tanks : Protect your healers. Deal damage without getting aggro. If you somehow get it, stop hitting and let warriors regain aggro. Help with the adds, when they spawn.
(Drakulv Disciples, Spawns of Gjalpinulva, !!!Scaled Retrievers!!!)
* Read Aggro Management Section carefully
Shamans : Redo specs, end regen, damage add and resists on newly ressurected targets. Constantly heal the Group No.1 warriors using small heals.
* Read Aggro Management Section carefully
Group No.1 specific:
Warriors: Guard each other and protect the Mend/Aug healers. Use TAUNT styles on the dragon.
Sup Rm: If you die redo pbt ASAP. Help killing adds, without casting spells out of melee range.
Group No.2 specific:
Shield Tank: Guard the people from your group that are getting aggro from the dragon. Note that they are not supposed to have aggro, but it might happen.
Group No.3 specific:
Bd: Release your pets before starting the fight with the dragon. Constantly buff people with ABS. Help killing adds.
ENTRANCE GUARDS :
Once you get to lair, disband.
Stay at your designated lair entrance without getting involved in the fight with the dragon. When the dragon will spawn the Scaled Retrievers you must be ready to intercept and stop them getting into the forest to call for adds.
If any of the dogs runs into the forest the raid is over. Therefore failure is NOT an option.
The number of dogs that might come to your entrance at a given time is random (0-3). They run fast, but once you attack them (with either spell or melee) they will stop running and attack you.
Being AFK and/or constant failure to comply with the above rules will get you banned from the future raids.
Aggro management:
Warriors should always keep aggro from the dragon.
Therefore seers and the other tanks should consider the following:
Seers:
- healing is aggro drainer
- buffing is aggro drainer
- ressurecting is aggro drainer
- if the tanks in your group (2 or 3) are getting too much aggro, let them die
- never use spread heals
- allow warriors to taunt dragon a bit before starting to ressurect or to buff
Tanks:
- if you get aggro from the dragon stop hitting her ASAP, and after that hit unstyled for a while
Hints/explanations that will help you better comply with the above rules:
Rule 1:
- Turn your /say chat color to an unusual one (like red)
- She usually nukes you for about 1000 dmg, so if you're on full hp will most than likely live
- Seers don't heal that specific target
- Keep constantly monitoring the /say chat looking for your name
Rule 2:
- Keep looking after the /say hints for the incoming PBAE nukes
Rule 3:
- Spread out around the dragon as much as possible, while staying in melee range
Rule 4:
- Pretty explicit: Never cast spells out of mele range
Rule 5:
- There are 4 designated lair entrance guards that have the specific role of getting hold of the dogs. However they might need your help to kill them.
- Group No.2 and No.3 tanks should help them, but if you see that enough ppl are already on the job stay on the dragon.
Rule 6:
- Some damage dealers might get aggro, although they are not supposed to. In this case stop hitting and let the Group No.1 warriors regain aggro.
Here is the groups' output:
Group No.1:
1. Pac/Mend Healer: Andine
2. Mend/Aug Healer: Marita
