I wanna make a club of 10/11 guilds that wants to slay the dragon weekly (or faster)
From my organised dragonraid i've learned that ppl want it fast & organised.


so this is my plan:
120 ppl need/dragonraid

-every guild(10) brings 1,5 groups (12ppl)
-every participater is ~50
-every guild brings 6-7 tanks
-tanks have nonproc weapons with decent bonus
-every guild knows what they have to do and their attackposition in the lair.
-every class knows their job
-a dead dragon within 1 hour.


first raids will maybe fail and give some problems but that's only the beginning =)

He organised dragon raids, plenty of other people benefitted...
Organising dragon raids is a lot of hassle and I'd hardly call it "begging".

the bow was dissapoiting.
it was a semi huntbow / semi longbow , didnt do 1k dmg.
so i sold it for things i could use. (money/epic ring/crafted heavy longbow)

these raids are not for me. it's for eveyone that wants special items.
There wont be a leader, well maybe in the beginning but after a couple of raids everyone will know their job.

point of thread: searching for 9 guilds that can do this raid every week.

I think i can speak on behalf of Equillibrium and say we would love to help. Would love to see the scaley bugger go down again.

Although i would put us into a maybe pile until our Gm posts/pms, i just dont want 9 gms to post before i can speak to him :)

good initiatve btw aussie, even if we cant attend. This can only benifit the realm

BTW Sorry to the guilds I did not ask to Legion raid lastnite, but its hard to rememberevry guild and It was teh first I organised, and it took 3 hours anyways !!!! since the Worm refused to POP !

Since this seems as a profit for all, im sure RC will help with our way to many tanks.

Its an old idea, made around the first tryies, but disagreement
about loot made it fall.

All right, it's been confirmed, Shadowlords Society will become part of the club (if there are still spots open). People to talk to when arranging this would be me, Justinian (or variations thereof), Nibor, Swifteagle, or Arindra. Any other SS member should be able to point you to an officer who is online if these people are not logged on.

Good initiative! :) I have yet to be part of a raid that kills that SOB...

Just wondering - is there any good discussions going on about the dragon tactics?

From what I've seen it seems that "aggro at range" means the dragon will use it's nukes (i.e. aoe) and clear out the place...

if it works like any other caster monster... they'll fight up close and cast spells at range...

How do you get aggro at range?
nukes, arrows, heals, spells, pets turning to aggro, everything.
Group members getting aggro and dying...

So what might be an idea is - split everyone up from their guild groups, put all the tanks in pure-tank groups. Put all the rest in other groups, damage buff everyone, tanks run in and kill it.

Everyone not using melee weapons handles the adds.

Admittedly this sucks for casters scouts and healers because they can't use their defining abilities - but if it stops the dragon toasting everything in sight surely it's a good thing?


question - how much damage does the dragon hit for in melee? is it possible to do a main assist ala Legion raids on it? or is it just too damned nasty?

The tacic we've used on our raids is to first get a theurg to send ice pets on the dragon, the dragon then proceeds to ae the pets, then we charge in with everyone, tanks/meleers then start hitting the bastard, when they have started we nuke the bitch for all we got, except fire nukes, since fire heals him, we use debuffs, nearsight, dot ect even theurg pets, but they all stand under his belly when they nuke him.
He drops in 20-40 secs with about 130-155 people lvl 40+

Also note that he didnt ae untill it was to late for him.

Ps. we also used proc weapons.
