Anyone else playing this? Isn't too bad at all, a nice way to kill 10 minutes per day but isn't one of those browser games that sucks your life away.

Been watching bro play it, seems like a well done little game(kinda how dragon age would've been in the 80-90s ).

Also fun that you get items into dragon age 2 from it.

Just avoid all kinds of payments, no matter how addicted you get.

Well, after quite a bit of playing I have hit a plateau where I cannot effectively advance anymore without paying real cash for crowns. I have 3 characters fighting 5 waves of up to 4 monsters, cannot output enough dps or heals to make it all the way through but also because of crafting times cannot craft enough pots to try and beat this fight more than twice a day. As much as I am enjoying the game it now feels like nothing more than a bait and switch to get you spending silly amounts of money on items for what amounts to a basic browser game.

Fuckyou EA and Bioware, the cash amounts required to remain viable are obscene given the minimal investment for a game like this, in some ways it would be cheaper to play a full blown MMO.

I'm almost getting there myself, Chodax. It depends a lot on your friends of course, and them levelling their dudes up to give you the extra punch in those 5 wave fights. I'm level 6 mage myself, and have a level 7 fighter buddy who i always bring along for the toughest fights. Then i usually bring level 5 Hawke too, and just try to stand back and heal them and myself, plus freeze enemies and leech their action points when i can.

Still, it's getting damn hard and today i lost one of those fights on the 4th wave with the above setup. Seems like level 7 is a sweet spot though with being able to use lots of new equipment and such. Hopefully that'll help some.

EDIT: Oh and yes, i refuse to buy any of those stupid crowns either. I used all mine up in the beginning on extra hero calls, before i understood what i was doing lol.

I don't the money to research, stuck on a 5 wave and have hardly any potions/bombs available, feels like a dead end.

Hmm that sucks. It's of course different too depending on what classes/levels your fb friends are, to help in the hardest fights. I'm lucky to have two/three buddies who level their chars up decently. I suppose if you're stuck you could bite the bullet and either start over, or sell the dragon armour+helmet for 2000 gold?

Cool, I'm glad you got past the speed bump, Cho! I'm close to 13 as well, and the Shock Bombs are as good as ever. I have a whole laboratory devoted to making just those non stop. Combined with the Lightning storm for the mage, you can kill a 6 monster wave just as quickly as you'd kill a 3 wave.

But yeah, i wish they were faster to make too.. i'm currently not hindered so much by action points, but by how many shock bombs i have left.

Lvl 17 mage here myself, and I agree on the big area lightning.. together with shock bombs and other attack buffs it eats the monsters for breakfast.

Latest patch has all but killed the game for me, the stat nerfs and npc nerfs are way beyond anything fair. 2 months plus invested in the game only to be screwed over because they can't find any other way of slowing down the powerplayers with their maxed castles, 100,000's of gold in the bank and massive guild lists. Way to treat the more casual player like shit.

Legacy of a Thousand Suns next for me I think, zero ingame items being sold, proper time investment with proper rewards not a cash grab.

Guild V's Guild added, already handed Marcs NPC's their arses a couple of times this morning.

Anyone else still playing? Closing on level 28 now, they seem to be adding new content every few weeks, decent little game that doesn't take much time up.

Oh and they fixed the problems I posted above, also added 3 high level NPC's into your group, good fun.

Hmm really? Might give it a try again then. I was all into it, but then stopped around level 20 or so i think (can't remember).

Nope, AoE, Mezz and Mana drain ftw! By level 35 or so I should be insanely overpowered.

Build a couple of labs asap, crank out shitloads of greater mana pots and save crowns to upgrade dungeon so you can take 6 of each pot into battle. Problem solved.
