I have fried my motherboard and chip on my main PC, As this one lags quite a bit it would not be wise to run this raid on it.
Apologies hope i get it fixed soon.

Never let anyone put your computer together, beside yourself ! . Also, a very thick coat isn't good either! <pokes!>Talsar said:<Austin Powers Chant>
Yea Raiders Yea!!
Guess who just sorted his machine.... Never NEVER buy a motherboard/chip set together, the shop i bought mine from last year did not put any thermal paste on my chip, i could not figure out why it was always overheating and i was getting a blue screen all the time.
I had to pry my p4 chip (which the top had kinda melted to my heatsink fan), then Delicately put back onto my motherboard, and this time i gave it a nice thick coat of thermal paste.

I sure hope you didn't. I am aware this isen't really related to the alb forum but the technical, but the reason you put thermal paste between your CPU and heatsink is to get a 100% contact surface, and you only use a really small layer of paste as it is only ment to cover any if any small cracks in the thermal surface or CPU surface. if you put to mutch thermal paste in you will loose the 100% contact surface and the temperarure on the CPU will raise with up to 15degrees celcius.Talsar said:<Austin Powers Chant>
