I'd like to ask the same thing. I spoke with you on the day of the last dragonraid, asked what the pre's were to be sure I had them, told you I met them and so you said I could sign up. I'm the second person to have signed up, yet I don't get a spot.

I dnt think he goes by the list mate, i think he picks the classes that he needs and from reliable sources. i sign up more or less every week but never get picked. i go stand by the raid in the BG and if they need any chars that i have i fill in the spots.

Wouldnt take it offensively matey or that they dnt like u Talsar just picks the classes he needs and well not everyone will get a spot as its a 24 man raid.

Frankly Talsar picks a successful DR 3-grp setup and with the number of unreliable people demonstrated clearly by the lateness of at least 10 people and failure to show of another 2+ last week I think Talsar should try to keep consistently with those who make it an efficient and successful raid.

Yet this way I don't even get the chance. He has raids very often, and while I understand it would be nasty to fail an attempt, it wouldn't be the end of the world - and you'll have a more clearer view of who not to take with you. Now we don't a spot by default.

did dragon last time with 2 groups and 3 buff bots and it was easy because people knew what to do so sure like to help

Been on 15+ dragon raids, playing cleric always except once. Well, good luck with raids but not much point doing a signup thread if you have groups already.

Other people are given chances if/when someone else can't make it etc. If it ain't broke dont fix it IMO. The raid works with these people, why risk it? Not saying that those who don't get places aren't skilled/experienced but Talsar's call at the end of the day.

i have to agree in what is the point posting the raid in FH. Ive signed up a few times only to be disappointed. Im in need of Respec stones and cannot afford 6p+ ppl charge which is why i sign up. i accept that raids can easily fail due to ppl with lack of experience or not having the right set up but it does appear to be the same people going on the raid everyweek and im sure they dont all respec everyweek. i just ask that you give a few people a chance at being on the raid ppl that r really in need of stones - i know for myself i need at least 2 possibly more altho not as urgent.

This raid is for experienced Dragon Raiders Only, if you have not attended a Dragon Raid before, don’t sign up, as your inexperience will wipe the Raid out.

Signing up does not guarantee you a position on the Dragon Raid, it is only to let me know you are willing to come. I will pick people whom I think will serve the Raid well and will turn up on the night (a lot of no-shows recently). Sadly I wish I could take all of you who sign up, but, there are limited spaces.

Remember to Nominate the class u want to roll for in signup post.

Again this is unsual for me as i never reply to whines, but as what is typical of a FH thread, someone does something to help his other Albions and gets it thrown in his/her face - this time i have little choice but to reply, and i am hating this post as i am writing it as it goes against my morals, but let me share with you the past weeks.

For 4 weeks solid i have had people pm me ingame, send me private messages here and also e-mail - whining at me all because they did not get a slot

.... I have tried to be diplomatic about it, tried to be nice about it and also tried to get all most of you into groups at one stage... Only to get whined at by people i have missed out.

Tbh Organising these raids are starting to become not worth it, If you know me i am a genunie nice enough guy who likes the quite life, I hate whiners and also probably like all you guys only play Daoc as i enjoy the game - it releases the stress from my work/life... however i am honestly getting stressed out about this.

First point, read the information (posted above) I never promise to get all of you on the raid, i will pick someone who is up to the job, common sence some times, for example, a cleric with Di 3 is better then one with Di 2. Also if you have signed up on my raids before and have not bothered turning up, well lets say that does not work on your favor if you sign up again.

Second, no the groups are not pre-arranged they do require a sign up everyweek, as most of you cant always make everyweek, also gives me more varity to pick from.

Third, If you want a raid organise one yourself like Vlad (although sure there was some scarcastic meaning by the "sign up does " bit - but nm) - also probably should warn you if you do them weekly, prepare to make yourself a target for 100 whines.

Forth, Himbo bud, you did a grand job last week, i am just rotating the clerics (conavar also did not get a slot this week)... but as you can see i try to be nice and get others in so i wont get whined at only to get whined at by those i missed Catch 22.

Seriously though now, i really do like the quite life, please get off my back about this... or i will retire from doing them. Which for me will be a personal shame as one of the main things i trully love about daoc is Bubble Wednesdays .

Hope this has helped put some of your worries to rest. But i know you cant teach a old dog new tricks (i am expecting more posts about this), i wont be replying to them, again not because i am rude or arrogant, but because whine posts only lead to bad carma, and as i said at the start, i am not looking for a fight or to make enemies only to play the game and have fun.
So i wont reply to any threads, i will walk away and be the bigger man.

I have not made any comments in which I have said anything bad about you and it would be a shame if you end your raids just because of this. That was never my intention and I'd rather not come along at all than spoil the fun for everyone else. Sorry if I upset you in any possible way.
