incidently it isnt so much the water in the cream that helps the skin so much as it is the oils.the water tends to be there to make it an emulsion to make it easier an less messy to spread as well as provide moisture.not many folks would like to grease up their body with pure oils.

Water and high end moisturisers are totally different in effect, but no point getting scientific. The natural oils and minerals they contain are the key things, believe me i know. I spend a fortune on them because the other half needs them (yus needs as opposed to wants )

so u read the back of a moisturiser packet n saw water as the main ingredient. u do know the difference between a main ingredient ie what there is most of in the tub an an active ingredient ie the thing that actually produces the effect is dont u?where is ur proof water is all u need? sitting suspended in water for large amounts of time would actually have a negative effect on ur skin.
anyhow i do not need to prove it.e45 cream is clinically tested.the fact doctors prescribe dermatitis an eczema sufferers moisturisers is all i need to know(why trust a doc or dermatologist hey they only spent years studying).non medical grade moisturisers just contain similar ingredients in lower levels.

im pretty sure dove body wash or what ever is not the same as a cream used to treat eczma. ive got eczma my self and had it badly for many years. if dove was the same then im sure they wouldnt of botherd to prescribe a special skin lotion that i had to use in every nook and cranny of my body.

e45 is a moisturiser its just a better one.
many moisturisers contain liquid or white soft parafin an lanolin which are the active ingredient in e45 cream.
therefore they wouldnt necesarily make an effective eczema treatment but would have some effect on the skin because they contain similar stuff.
all u need is an effective oil to create a water retaining barrier on the surface of the skin.
