Dot of destruction???

Just saw a pair of pants with a dot proc on em...

20% dmg /tick.... 20 sec duration 5sec/tick = 4 ticks..

Does this mean that if these pants go off they take off 80% off a enemies hp?????

Doubt it, even if it does tic 20% it will take 20% of 100% hits, then 20% of 80% hits, 20% of 64% etc etc.

I have tried a hammer with a procc like that and on cave throws in spindel that dot did less damage than the crafted 64/tick dot.

the 20% proc is based on the weapons damage afaik, so if you hit for 100 with your hammer the dot will be 20.

would be nice if it was 20% of the hp tho

so now i just need 2 spec 50 pants so i can wield them for maximum dmg

well if they're on armor then it might be a reactive proc, eg. if you get hit for 100 they will proc a 20dmg dot, just speculations tho
