Dorga and Revminster!

Nice bit of fun in Odins yesterday.

Dorga your a smart player i got to admit, and Revminster you hit like a ton of bricks, though the af bug was back or something.

I agree, those were some small fun fights, I really enjoyed it.

I had a fun melee fight with Kratt there also after he killed Dorga. Get more healing crystals next time Kratt

Healing crystals ? they are useable every 3 minutes.
When melee started - i had IP, FA2, 2 totems, 75% endurance. U had FA2 only (as i saw u used IP already), and i guess about the same amout endurance, as u where in combat just before. Still i lost, after using IP,FA2 and 1 totem , and u got 75% of your HP-s left. We both are RR5+ and i used Price 94% Q thrust spear.

The only explanation is - u where cheating ... erm sorry buffed is the word i think. (dont get offended now, cos bots are part of the game - and that word usage reflects my personal opinion only)

When i play from home - i cant use buffbot most of the time (1 comp there)... so i'm kinda proud to have nice numbers of rpts, comparing to ppl, who use bots.

If u now tell that u where not buffed - i'll never melee again with my 'melee archer'

Kratt you are the new blood in my opinion in some situations you remind me of the way he played but you seem to melee more

Kratt, I think I can answer for Revminster for this:

1: He doesnt use a buffbot, he just respecced to become a bit better in melee
2: Rangers dont need buffbots, as they got self buffs in pathfinding specline

So I guess u better stop melee'ing

Kratt, I was only buffed with selfbuffs. I don't have a buffbot and will never have one. Dorga can probably confirm that if you don't believe me. Only time I'm buffed from a druid/warden/bard is when I'm grouped with one. Though, fighting a ranger who has a high pierce spec and 264dex/242quick with damage add can be a bit tricky I guess. Diamondback stun style helps me alot too. I was kinda surprised after respec I must say. I never thought I would be this effective in melee. Although, I still die alot to assassins. But at least now, after respec, I can put up a decent fight.

I think you are a very good player Kratt, and I respect you.
And I can honestly say that I was NOT buffed up.

Btw, what are Totems?

I also had selfbuffs only. I also have ok spear sepc base (39), and 248 dex/219 quick. I had no pet tho - so no damage add (that screams here is hunter!!!). But the point is, with 1100 extra HP from IP (i pressed it almost on last moment) i was not even close. (70-75% your health), also your const. should be lower.

I was there and did the faight. its REALY! hard to belive that i got owned that bad without buffs, from 'same class' class (other archer). On the other hand i have no reason not to belive u eigther

I got Diamondback'd in the beginning, once i guess and belive me - that 5 sec would not make any difference.

Oh well. PvP is out soon.

I have also lvl 50 thane. After my hunter got 50 - or even 40 - i saw how bad thane was in RvR. Now my 50 hunter gets owned badly from 'compareable' class - so i can only hope that in PvP i'll make better choice.

Melee more... hmmm dont have much choice if angry luri is hiting with instruments that hurt, for killing he's friend =)

Of and btw, - high Piercing??! Hunter armor should be resistant to it + i have NOT 0 thrust resist

Kratt, If it's any comfort, I haven't lost a melee fight against a hunter since I respecced. Rangers melee > Hunters melee, imo.

I have 1213hp. I used FA2 like you said earlier. And believe me, the damage add does alot.

Yes, that is correct. I get - damage on every hit I get in.

testing by US players has shown that rangers do an average 40% more damage than hunters in melee, I think that doesn't even include the rangers dmg add buff tho...

My Hunter with 1366hp ( unbuffed ) and 50 spear lose vs melee specced Rangers.

Hunters are the worst class in the game IMO, shortest range and lowest dmg with bow, worst defence ( Evade2 ), highest melee dmg ( when ever we hit ).

Rangers should own hunters anytime, it sucks yes but I very much doubt that mythic cares.

( damnit Mythic give hunters self haste or shield/dualwield )
