Aussie is right. Its not just crit shoot shoot shoot. You have to pick your spot, get the right distance, plan escape route etc, and this can sometimes take a while moving in stealth if the target is moving too.

If a sniper dont plan, he will have a good chance of dying.

Why has everyone forgot this is supposed to be a team game? I mean sure you get more rp if you solo are a stealther class but that's not really the game philosophy.

Not to mention that minstrel is already a skilled class.... skill with a post-see-hidden minstrel = travelling with 3 infiltrators constantly, OR twisting speed and charm and running around with a pet

Rp's = Class factor * Time factor * Skill factor * Realm factor

So it's very hard to tell who is a better skilled RvsR player.
A Blademaster with 100k rp's might still have a better RvsR skill than a Assasin with 400k of rp's. To increase your skill factor however is only possible by increasing your time factor, cause it takes some time to gain good skills. I think the peeps that play a lot RvsR 'know' which realmmates and enemies play there character very well and that the amount of rp's has nothing to do with it.
The only thing that bothers me a bit is the fact that rp distribution didn't have a fair Class factor before this patch. So some classes will always have an advantage by that, cause they can train more RAS. However I believe u still can outskill some of em

Wrong way, you take a rogue, get it to 5 and tag it along in Emain till it's got R1L8, then you go buy See Hidden

We're already seen the first influx of wannabee infiltrators on Alb and I fear we'll see twice or more in 1.50. Sucks. Some of the archers that can't rake in the RP like they used to, will definitely switch to an assassin, just to be "über"...

skill in daoc?

dont get me wrong pvp is fun but theres v.little skill in daoc pvp

since the game is class based, one class will own another class, will own another class, will own another class etc -

also since its level based, the level 50 d00d will beat the level 40 d00d just because he's twatted a few more mobs than him previously

so basicly theres no skill in any kill u make in daoc, unless say an infil with identical equipment and identical spec to another infil were to attack and kill the other - without it being down to a slither (since that would be luck, critical, missing, etc)

infact i cant think of a daoc class thats a good example
but then that just proves my point.

Daoc is made for big groups and tactics not solo "skill"
