imo they just have to keep the english servers at the same patch as the US servers.

Why does GOA don't do this ?

1)Their French, u lousy english pigs (=> Holy Grail of MP, must see if u play DAOC)

2)If the english servers are on the same patch as the US servers, they would need more servers because there will be french and germans playing on the english servers 2.

It is ridiculious atm, English is a bloody world-language !!! All games are english. If u want to play daoc in your own language,
fine but dont punish the others for it for godsake. If u wanna wait months for a patch, fine, but we will not...

Why don't make a spanish server or a dutch server then ?

At this rate, we will have the 1.51 Patch at X-mas 2006 and i will be playing SWG by then...

Just patch the english servers GOA, make us happy or hire some bloody more translators

This is atm unacceptable imo...

hiring more translators or whatever the type of person they require is the best bet.

But as more and more people leave EU DAoC... the less the chance of it happening

I am bored damn bored and i have only played since april.

It has nothing really to give me, i have also put points ´where i shouldnt.
nah i am asking a relative in the US, to wrangle me a copy most likely.

I dont get it, why translating the servers to French and German?
Why not stick to english and cross patch the servers world wide.

This is bad publicity for mythic, and people are annoyed and feel double crossed.

I will not pay for beta testing a product!!

Hehe, ever noticed you can put this the other way round? The English speaking people are the smallest part of the European DAoC community.

If you wanna play DAoC in your own language (-> English), go and play the US-Version!

I have no idea about the break even point of a DAoC server, but when I look at the numbers of logged people (and on which servers they play) you should be damn happy that they keep up the servers running that "bloody world-language" and don't make DAoC a German and French only game in Europe.

I'd hate to see the English servers go, but then again ... no biggie ... I would choose an US RPG server then and start from scratch.

In case you're a US resident I'll forgive you. I know that the US people usually get aware of the fact that there is a world outside the USA at the age of 30 to 35 (age varies by county state ... I'm sure in Arkansas nobody even knows there are things like oceans) and think that Rome is the capital of Paris.

In case you're from the UK: Grab a ticket and visit continental Europe. It's not THAT bad here no matter what they tell you at home.

Oh and tell me one good reason why Goa cannot patch english servers same time they do it on US servers huh? Why do we need to wait translation ? If only matter is their crappy launcher why don't they just modify it so u can choose which language u play with so it would still work or find some other solution ?!?!?!

type 1 at us version click order

then click "Bestil nu" in lower right corner

type in necesarry data (standard form should be easy enough remember the international code for you countries phone nr.

in lower left corner is a box mark it to pay with visa and then click "bestil nu" in lower right corner

The European English Language servers SHOULD be the biggest part of the European DAOC community. By far.

That it isn't, is a very simple indicator of just how lacking in business acumen certain people are.

Certain people are giving the impression of being far more determined to shoot themselves in the foot, than a paying punter would have credited only a few months back.

Don't know if you've noticed but there are more french and german speaking people playing DAoC in Europe than english speaking ones..

I hate to break this to you, but english is natively spoken by about 341 million people on this planet Chinese is world language nr. 1 and Hindi (India) is number 2. English comes in 3rd place.

imo Mythic made the mistake to give 1 company the rights for 3 countries. France and Germany should have a local company taking care of DaoC for them. Would mean better and faster translations for them and faster patching for all of us.

It seems to work out pretty well in Italy.

I think you all can figure out for yourself why most games are in english and remember that next time you want to whine about a patch coming in late.........................
