in the end whenever the tutor was doing a lesson and got to a bit where she said "and what do you think they did?" we all chimed up "form a committee!"

meh when we got to that I formed the firm belief that the benevolent despot is still the best thing that can happen to a country :/

I can't speak for anywhere else in the UK, but up here in Scotland we have an abundance of water.

Same in the midlands. The water down south is horrid though. The only people that are running out of water in the west are those that have dammed it for irrigation (the Spanish)

Yes poorer countries have water problems but that's because they are retards who shit in their drinking water. Its not our problem they wish to live in sub-medieval conditions rolling around in turds. Why can't they dig a well? Everyone else can dig a hole and knock up a rudimentary pump, or even use the classic method of a bucket on a rope build your toilet somewhere else, yes it saves valuable begging time when you can take a crap and have a drink at the same time but it just ain't working. *

Thats right, they're running out of water because they cant dig a well.

I still remember your comment about how its useless to give africans tools because they'll just break them. :p

You're a retard.

(Britain obviously doesnt have a water problem. Try India or China.)

Regarding natural resources running out, I was under the impression that the 'most important' one we actually use, that's running out is helium, the only real sources I can find of it is from wired(yeah..) but they say it's going to be gone entirerly from the earths atmosphere by the end of the 21st century - oil will still be around by then, albeit in hard to reach places. If helium isn't processed when it leaks from the ground its gone forever. Although, if we managed to start extracting resources from space by then it's no problem, as it's one of the most common gases up there.

And lol, yeah the western world doesn't have a problem with water(unless you live in France of Spain) but the rest of the world kinda does, and it's not because they are utter morons. It's because we(we as in our companies abusing their workforce/resources) don't pay them to take care of the water reserves, I mean - why bother keeping the water clean when it's just easier(cheaper) to dump shit into it and hope nobody notices? It's not like they'd get more than a slap on the wrist if they got caught anyways.

Gorbachioo is actually spot on with alot of what he has said, over the next 20 years we will be taking 5 steps backwards before we can move 2 steps forward. The way we currently live is not sustainable and something drastic has to change, governments have know this was coming for a long while and that the end of 'this' golden era was in sight.
