This is one more warning, adminmod doesnt distinguish between cheats that are enabled or disabled. Just dont install them in the first place. You will not be unbanned because you had that cheat installed you forgot about and now you cant play anymore.

I suggest if this happens to you, that you go down to your local EB or www.game.uk.com (f34r the pimping skills) and buy a new copy of HL.

Well since I installed autoscriptx10, iv been banned from everywhere. Is autoscriptx10 illegal?.

Iv had my WON ID for 2 years and im not fuckin buying a new copy of Half Life cause I made an innocent mistake.

WTF is this zero tollerance all about?. If Valve got there act togther in the first place and sold CS as a full game and there programmers produced resonable code to stop cheats all these fuck ups would not happen.

Now, my WON ID is: 1992150. ADMIN. go see if im banned and tell me what for.

I get ban messages on Jolt also. But I have just been notified by the admin at Jolt that my WON ID is not on there ban list. I am not best pleased.

Something is wrong somewhere.

I just installed Win XP Pro 2 days ago. I got Half Life CS setup etc etc, Instaleld autoscrpti to save my fuckin about with mouse controls when I buy stuff. It also help with crouch, walk and jump.
If autoscirtpx10 is illegal. Fair enough. I never knew that.
Anyway where do I go to read about what is legal and what is not?.

Ooo yeah you will ban people. But you dont tell anyone what file and help programs are legal or not.

As you can tell im not pleased. Also added by the fact that I got no help ,what so ever from the BsW admins.

Well, scripts are rarely considered cheating, but there are a few scriptable things considered cheating by some.

No Recoil: Everyone considers this cheating, and i've seen BW will kick(and ban?) for it.

Auto Duck Jump: Not sure wether BW detects and kicks for this, but from your post i'd guess your script does this. It is considered cheating mainly because continually duck jumping will ruin yourkeyboard, and ruin your joints, hence it takes hardcore people to be allways duck jumping. In TFC, duck jumping messes with the hitboxes. The effect is that the ducked model you see in the air is alot bigger than the hitboxes,hence you could aim at someone's head, and be on target, yet it doesn't count. For this reason i would say a duck jump script is cheating in TFC by most people's standards. As for CS, well i'd ve surprised if the anti-cheat software detects/kicks for this.

More info on your script might help.

I have a script that duck-jumps. It came free with a buy script load of things. I didn't get banned. afaik loads of ppl use it. I didn't get banned last night.

Guess im lucky iv'e seen this thread, hence i'll reinstall the job bollox, edit the reg ect...

Just glad this has caught the 'real' cheats out though, needed doing, all those nasty i'd never do such a thing 'clan' players that are above any so called 'nobody' player such as myself being caught out has made my day.

Name and shame them plz...........

It's certainly cheating in my eyes, but as 'most' of the upper echelons of the tfc community think it's 'ok' i doubt it will ever cease:(

Somehow i never seem to find it fair when most of my shots hit thin air, when i encounter these people.

Nothing wrong with doing it with your fingers, but when it's just scripted, and it's main effect is to just the other person a disadvantage, through 'no' fault of your oponents own, then it just smacks of lameness, and is completely unfair.

Natrat named and shamed two days worth in the games servers forum.

I know some innocents (well as innocent as you can be when u have installed a cheat) will be banned. But there is no way to distinguish between the honest and dishonest 100% so no bans will be overturned.

Dont share CD keys, dont ever d/l a cheat and you will be fine. The servers are a much, much nicer and fuller place now.

Those banned lists make interesting reading don't they?

A few names there I know, one of which I got an admin to look at once and was reported as clean!

Also a couple I was disappointed by, shitatthis was described as suspicious of using a no recoil script does this mean he has been banned? Also I used to see die2easy around a lot, never suspected him, he must have been clever :(

By the way I'm assuming none of these things detect new weapon skins and the like? I'm very attached to my 'desert camo' AK47 and my lovely new colt models. These things probably have a detremental effect, if anything, because of the higher polygon count.

V Models can't be detected by the server, and custom P models that fool the built in anti-cheat protection can't be detected either.

Thanks Shocking but I'm not sure I know the difference. I just downloaded a few things to make the game look nicer. I did try some player models but these were just different looking skins but still CT and T, not the bizarre yellow things that were available.

I did get everything from Skinshack which at the time was linked from the official CS site so I guess it is above board!!

Well, i'm talking about weapon models really.

The V, or view, model is the one you see from your first person prospective. The W, or world, is what you see lying on the ground. And the P, or player model, is what you see other people carrying.

HL Supports 'weapon consistancy' which means your P models(and possably W models, i'm not sure) have to be the same as the server's. It can be bypassed by making your custom model the same file size or somehting, but it's difficult, which is why most custom P models won't work. It's very effective as for a model to be the same size as the server's, it has to be a similar sized gun, ie your replacement p_glock18 isn't going to be twice as big as the server's, which is basically what this feature is here for(it doesn't obstruct V models as there's no gain to be had, and i think you can turn off the V models with a command anyway).

As for Player models, well i'm not totally sure wether the built in protection looks at them, but i don't think it does. Therefore, i'd say the anti cheat software doesn't either, allthough i could be wrong on both accounts.

TBH, the only replacement models i've seen that look nice are the ``high fps'' ones. They're low polly, so they help if you have poor hardware, but the way they've made them, i think they actually look as good as the original ones :)

The duck jumping thing mentioned earlier...

Duck jumping imo is a neccessary part of CS as it is needed to get on crates and other such stuff. The original Half Life game has an entire part of the practice section dedicated to it ffs. Combining a jump followed by a duck into a single key press would hardly constitute cheating considering its a movement requirement anyway.

The whole no recoil thing is definately not on though.

I was talking about tfc, in cs it hardly matters. Read the above reguarding the hitbox issues.

It's more than just a case of somebody jumping around like a fool to make it harder for the other player.

If it ferks with the game mechanics then fair enough I suppose. I don't play TFC so I wouldn't know. TBH I prefer the DoD sytem that prevents people from shooting you whilst jumping up and down at the same time.

And they say that CS is a realism mod

To be honest, hitting someone while duck-jumping is very much a point-blank thing only in CS. Not sure about TFC.

I have become one of the jumping people in CS, its very good for one on ones, you avoid their initial fire and have the time while in the air to aim perfectly for landing.

I think you'll find your head going in a different direction to your body quite quickly ;)

I love it when people jump... makes me think of duck hunt :D

unlimited grens from the spawn for the duration of the buy time is hardly cheating, slightly pointless on most maps,(apart from assault maybe for the Ts) but not really cheating. (imo)

Prodigy is funny sometimes when a CT decides to go ape with HE's in the tunnel section but just by the cliff entrance.

Watch those T's fly baby :)

well, i dont use my mouse to click menus, thats what number keys are for, and what help do u need with crouch walk and jump exactly? seems to me like they are more or less straight forward. i.e. you press a key when u want to crouch, another when you want to walk forward, and another when u want to jump

and crouch-jump scripts seem kinda stupid as all you need to do is press crouch then, you guessed it, jump.. unless you only have 1 finger on one of your hands i suppose.

unless im missing something of course, which only ever happens all the time
