Im personally taking names of all those that voted 'Yes' to clustering. If any of these people are found to be posting Zerg whines they will be punished!

A good slapping around the face with a wet trout! I also urge FreddysWhine mods to ban these people from the forum.

Clustering will ruin DAoC Europe.

I voted against clustering and I'm deeply worried about its effects.
Particularly since it will mean new players in the UK will only be able to choose ONE realm to play in, and that's it (Camlann...yeah...rofl). Which is very very poor service indeed.

Many say: New "UK" players can choose to play in one realm. I think many English players forget about a lot of people, who have to play in a server that uses a foreign language, and not all of them speak english well. Yet they have fun, and by trying to understand the game, they will learn more about new languages. With clustering english people can do the same. And clustering has a major positive effect: There are requests for new server types, but if GOA would add them now, we would have severe underpopulation problems on existing servers, so GOA has to decide against all requests to open new servers. With clustering, it is less problematic. If we have enough new players top support it, GOA can even start new normal servers. And this is why promoting daoc is important.

We talk about what can be done, yet when it comes to helping each other, or doing anything, I don't see many people jumping "Hey I made a guide for newbies" "Here is a link collection for them" "Hey, I made wallpapers, and printable posters to promote the game" but I see many other things.

The usual FH bitching, whine, arrogance is what kills the game for newbies, clustering helps them. Know why? Even if they cannot play in 2 realms in english normal servers with just 1 accounts: They have double the usual chance to get XP groups. Which is another big and important change.

Who is responsible for no XP groups but only PLs? YOU
Who is responsible for newbies getting no help? YOU
Who is responsible for not inviteing your friends? YOU
Who is responsible for lack of creative community that can create stuff (and promote daoc)? YOU
Who is responsible for people leaving due to no help, no fun, and "stop the whine moron" comments? YOU

All these made a need for clustering, which will be done. So it is time for YOU to stop the whine. "kkthxbye"

I hope that clustering does bring more FG RVR spread over the areas, but tbh i can only see it bringing greater amounts of albs waiting to be pharmed at beno bridges -

For me - it is the slow painful death of english DAOC - slow as the initial 'zergathon' will bring lots of new and exciting fights - but when people realise that its just the same-old-same-old - they will give up :(

New Players are going to the U.S.A servers, how do I know?...
Cos I moved there with my Hubby when all talk of the clustering started, and everyday I log there are more and more new English Players.

People who were WOW players and have become bored, and generally new players to RPG alltogether. So really you guys that aren't happy with the clustering do have an alternative. Yes paying for the games again is a bind, but then paying a subscription for a third of a game sucks too.

RvR is fabulous on U.S.A because they do have clustered servers, but there are so many to choose from it has no bearing on your choice of realms. This is not to attack the clustering...Hell if most of the guys are happy with this...then so be it.

But people there is an alternative, and from an English person playing the U.S.A servers the past month and a half, there has been no minus points yet.
Just something to think about, trust me it ain't all doom and gloom

I'd say the fact they're the "american" servers is a pretty big down point right there...

On Excal I believe RVR is alive and well and I honestly haven't ran into 'the alb zerg' for months not sure it even exists anymore.

I very much agree to that, infact so far the only "zergs" ive seen per se have been keep sieges rather than full all out zergs of 50 people stuck on one guy.

I can't wait for clustering myself.

Hmmm well that's only your opinion, TBH the Americans are much more polite, better mannered, friendly, and above all helpful than we found on the English servers...and if thats a put down then I for one am glad and prefer the worst servers. Plus they don't genralise and lump us all together with the rude/thick/moronic English opinion which is a blessing
