Dogs, don't savage other animals (apart from cats and occasional other he man dog) like cats do i.e. birds / rabbits for no reason at all but to torture. Dog's much smarter, loyal on there life to owners and don't go out at night bring in dead animals or get hit by traffic.

just because cats actually have hunting instincts, a dog would just eat its own poo or something if left alone..Cats are wild hunters, hence the instinct.
and dogs are smarter? just because theyr taught that if they obey, they get a treat when they're babies? so can cats my cat rolls over and plays fetch, comes etc
dogs dont get run over as they have to be on a lead ... and because they're too stupid to get running around alone
yes they're loyal, but at least cats you have to earn their trust, not just love master who feeds them

Dog's don't need to be on a lead my 2 dogs are smart enough not to run in front of a big heavy thing moving at speed called a dog unlike cats are. I don't like most breeds of dogs; the little ones are the worst. You don't own a cat, a cat owns you if I wanted a hunter I would have a lion.

I would never have a dog not with my lifestyle the way it is - it would be cruel. Cats on the other hand dont mind being left on their own all day, they dont need to be exercised.

It´s the other way round mate... dogs are trained to hunt foxes because they used to be natural hunting animals. Otherwise it would be pretty pointless to train them.
Somehow, the species dog must have survived and I doubt that they gathered their food by meeting the local grocery, buying cucumbers.
