Yeah, i watch DBZ this story line going on right now might be alittlw strange but it is all leading up to the Buu saga. Which is the best DBZ saga.

pokemon lacks the refinement of some animé, but it still stands out as impressive in its style, just because its less westernised than most of whats recieved here.

There's that new CITV cartoon 'CardCapturers' or something, the animation in that is great :) I'm a sucker for the looks, forgive.

If you want the best Manga check out the original 'Akira', the film that probably kicked it all off in this country.

And for the best looking get a copy of 'Ghost in the Shell'.

But if you really want to see the best, the Barbican (www.barbican.org.uk) is running a season of Studio Ghibli films. This includes 'Princess Mononoke' which was the biggest grossing film of all time in Japan until 'Titanic' (gah!) overtook it.
Princess Mononoke has also now been released on DVD I believe.

as i said, i have a jap version on video, really bizzarre =/

its subtitled, but in chinese, so i havent a clue what they're saying, but who cares since i didn't pay for it!(nicked it off some chinese kid).

looking at the jap version, id say its fair to say the western version is completely re-drawn.
as it says in the credits 'based on the japanese anime by blah blah'....or somehtring =/
