does 100% resist mean immune to that type of damage?

Just woundering if someone has 100% resist to a type of attack are they immune to it?

Not exactly, Bard chants can increase that, enchanters RA <i think> as well.

1/2 your level + 1 is the cap from items.

On top of that you can get 24% resist buffs from healers/secondary healers of the realm.

On top of that you can get +1-5% from you're natural resistances.

And I think BAoD is another 35% on top of that?

Dont forget the AoM RA. 3% for each lvl. 15% if you have lvl 5

It does stack with normal resist buffs. but you will reach your resists cap

scenario:

26+6+5 cold = 37%

37%+24% = 61%

+ 10% cold/x/x chant -> 63% cold = >_<

Resists – Resist rates should cap at 50% and that there is a diminishing return on resist gear over 26%. Yes, this would also effect the enchanter unique RA, but it should. The Brilliant Aura RA should basically cap a group’s magic resistance at 100% of the resist cap (50% total resist) for one minute every 30 minutes.

Mana – Please give the empowerment line something new and interesting to round out this line of spells. An AE debuff of some type would be perfect. I also suggest a major fix to all MR debuff spells in order to fix the excessive damage done by enchanters that can debuff their own damage:

1) Prevent debuffs from debuffing a target below zero. This is currently the case with caster pets. They will NOT get a damage bonus on a debuffed target. Caster spells should be the same way. Debuffs should be there to counter resists, not to boost damage.
2) Change the percent debuffed by these lines from 15/30/50 to 15/20/40.
3) Exchange the Matter debuff line with the Heat debuff line. The Heat debuff is currently 23/33/44 in terms of specialization. Exchanging it with Matter would require a specialization of 27/36/49 in order to debuff Heat.
4) Having done 1-3 above, either return the spells to instant cast, or extend the duration to 45 seconds and make the spells interrupt other spells.

Energybuffs on a Lurikeen who has 5% racial energy-resists, would with: highest resistsbuff (24%(with no moa)), AoM5 15%, Baod 35% - Get a Energy-resists at "26+5+24+15+35" = 105%

And now the zerks will hit that hard. Mythic had done a great job nerfing midgard. Remember before the armor resist table came. When crush worked wonders on alb plate. But we hit to hard so they fixed that. Now soloing a enemy is just pure luck to survive.

And its crap when a thane can out meele the realm first tank a warrior. Savages and Troll Thanes are harder than a warrior.

Well, they are going to outmelee a Warrior. Thats the definition of a light-tank, do massive damage but with weak defense.

Its funny if u didnt see how overpowered zerkers were, just as overpowered as enchanters are.

Resist should only effect the damage cap spells and Styles can do and hits can do. At L49, I have the top level smite DD (L43+12) and hit some orange Draks in avalon city for 440 (with no resists or bonues), thats a 150% increase over the spells stated damage (176), whats the point of maxing out your skill and int/pie only to have it over exceded by resists. The idea of lowering damage in RvR seems to be total messed up. All its done is make high realm ranked palyers even more powerful while lower level ones have even a hard time killing anything.
