Dodgy Neighbours

My Neighbour told me about 1 mounth ago she had crashed her car and it was a right off Then last week i got a flyer through the door of the police saying to watch out the lady from next door had her car stolen lastnite? which i found was odd,then on that morning of the flyer, i left house to take kid to school and seen my other neighbour talking to the police, and she said to me isn't it true she said that she crashed her car, i said don't no,Then last night the neighbour that crashed her car knock my door asking for me to give her a alibi, and say i seen her car on her drive the night it got stolen,but i am wondering would it put my insurance up in price on my car,due to post code number and being next door? if claimed went ahead?

I would be more worried about giving an alibi to someone like that, and then getting found out - you could end up in a lot more bother - tell her to find some other fool to give her an alibi imo... And it wouldnt push you insurance claim up - its usually taken over a larger area than just your neighbours as to how its priced according to area.

If she has asked you for an alibi and you have not told the truth they will probably work this out and punish you.
