Another thing I've noticed is how positive the community is. I guess it's because this is a new game with a relatively small following, but everyone seems to have a sense of humour (lot's of LOLs being typed) and will praise the enemy for a particularly good shot, rather than saying '4imb0t cheat0r!!!'

One time I wanted to try out my Axis bayonet and eventually ended up dancing with an Allied soldier - him trying to shoot me and me trying to stab him. I eventually got him and he said 'lol'.

Okay, this story loses something in the translation but it was a fluffy moment. You know what I mean...

If ya like joking around with people on servers without them trying to kill ya, and all being friendly and all that, try Svencoop, I find the community there to be really good and friendly (bah the odd blocking llama, but i can easilly kick him wiv meh 1337 rcon skillz, play on meh server ppl!)

I DL'ed DoD ages ago, but Ive never played it. It sounds worth a go, so I'll mebee set it up tnite. What version are the servers playing now?

Use All-Seeing Eye you crazy hoons! I filter to only view UK servers with <200 ping and rarely get any lag in-game.

rtcw own DoD ? well,it LOOKS better than DoD i grant you,but it sure as hell dont play better!
i bought rtcw just the other day,but i like it DESPITE the q3 engine,not because of it hehe

Couldn't care less what engine 'owns' another. What a ridiculous argument. I prefer DoD over RtCW, but then I'll probably prefer Medal of Honour: Allied Assault (another Q3 engine game) over DoD.

Who knows...

As long as the games are good.

Na, it is QW, no Q2 as far as i know, but saying that, it has been modified to the extent that they could have just made a totally original engine.
