Arrgghhh! Poor mans MoH!!

I used to really like this before RtCW came out.Its a good game worth a go,I may even d/l 2.0 if I can be arsed.Like CS it is mad popular,much more so than wolfy and MoH put together if Im not mistaken.
Has grenades that kill ppl like real grenades ,not like the cs ones that just give you a headache when it goes off at your feet.These ones blow you to bits :)
Also the rifles are bloody fearsome pretty much one shot deaths,which is how it is when you get hit by a .303 I believe.:)
No recoil as yet,though i believe 2.0 is fixing that.
There you go, its imformothrod!

Anyway Back To The Subject !
No you dont need any extra patches just one big download about 100mb if I remember rightly.
You can get British skins to cover up the gay yank ones as well,and a sten gun instead of thompson etc etc.
Oh and you cant bunny hop! 2 or 3 jumps produces a tortiose symbol meaning your tired and you gotta have a wee rest .
Some of the maps are a bit cakky which was annoying,i expect 2.0 will sortthis :)

Be aware of spawn zone campers though, for verily, they do suck willy. DoD rox, but Blueyonder need to stop their 32 man server from crashing after 3 maps. DoD is better with at least 10 a side.

I have to get back on the BW DoD servers Throd, missed getting shot by you :)

The spawn camp problem has been sorted as well. There are zones around the enemy spawn which cause loss of health (and eventually death) if you stray in there.

If you're a casual observer and you have HL (and the 1108 update, obviously) or retail CS then its definitely worth a look. A different game to RtCW and MOHAA.

But is it any good? How big is the download? I may get it tonight if I can find a d/l.
Also have they got rid of them ugly tfc-style models? Thats what they should do i think , use sort of fatter models like in CS.
And does it still have that fucking awfull dam map??

Nope no more of the crap dam map

All the maps in beta 2 are completely new ones that weren't in the previous releases, with the exception of Caen (which has been slightly updated for beta 2)

its about 130mb download, and delete your previous version of dod before you install as its not an update but a completely new version.

recoil now in
new maps
new animations
new skins/models
new MG class
new objective types
and lots lots more

pld it today, seems good. The dog1 map is nice, very noisy though. It seems a lot harder to hit anything, the recoil is emmense:) or mebbee im jus crap, yeah thats it.

It seemed OK on the forst map I played tonight but the second one just sucked. Don;t ask me what they were tho :)
