Barrels were one of the few good idea's GOA have done and implemented fairly well.

I imagine its pressure from Mythic really, or maybe just simpler for them to remove barrels then try to integrate the new pots with them, however it will be very sad to see the barrels go and I hope GOA rethinks it and leaves the barrels in game.
