You guys mean silver tea?

Milk, water, sweetener of some sort?

Nope, it's a different part of a tea leave used. You can get it in leaf form or in a tea bag. It's just hot water and the tea bag, but it's really nice!

oh hehe sorry.

When I originally said granny tea, I meant a normal cup of tea, but with lots of milk. For some strange reason alot of people in the UK say "It tastes like knat's piss".

Isn't it just a normal tea leave (Camellia Sinensis) but earned when very young? Besides that, yes, white tea is really good - but expensive.

I really like tea and let's face it Darjeeling is awesome aswell, no matter if black or green =)

Oh yeah, forgot to answer, that yes, white tea is quite lovely, but if you really want to get nice tea, find a coffe shop(that sells coffe beans and tea leaves) and mix your own patch.

And then, if you really want to go oveboard, dry up own fruit(likke pineapple) and mix it in.

Yer, when I tried to post for the first time, it said server down, so I pressed the back button and then, like 30mins later, I added the last bit and pressed submit again.

I really cba with tea bags anymore though, cause the taste just isn't the same. Also if you buy a let's say Darjeeling teabag, you have no control over the origin and you can be sure there's only the official minimum of Darjeeling in it.

For some britts tea isnt just a bevrage it's a damned ritual!
f.eks adding tea before the milk is a big nono!
You MUST add the milk first! I got the explanation the other day and it actually made sence, anyone els know why tho ? ;)

I still find the almost neorotic obsesive ritual kinda funny :p

oh and yes white tea is nice

Milk in tea is the worst thing invented since sloppy seconds.

Y E S thank you =))

A little sugar is acceptable if the tea is very bitter, but that's all. If you put milk in tea, you might aswell brew it from teabags, as you will loose all the flavours :<

Tbh...milk in coffee is TEH devil aswell.

EDIT: spread rep etc. :<

No no NO!

First, get mug, put in teabag and desired sugar.

Second pour boiling water in (make sure theres a 1cm allowance for milk) and stir for 1 minute, don't forget to squash the bag up against the side to get all the flavour!

Next, take teabag out THEN pour milk in and stir.

Perfect cuppa.

mmmm... silver tea... why does it only come in loose-leaf though?

edit: I think Sharma has the ritual down pat, though I often do it wrongly through laziness. I'm not right bothered about perfection. I think your perfect cuppa is of the teapot variety anyhow, though that may just be a rumour or a legend, an old charter or a myth.

if you add the milk before the water you boil the milk and change its taste.

i know this cos i visited the tetleys factory, and one of the tea tasters told me!
