How do you deal with a heavy cold? You know the type - everything short of the flu - rivers of snot, sneezing all the time, no sense of taste or smell, headachy, lethargic, feel like poo

Cool answer: If i feel ill, i concentrate and be awesome instead.

Real answer: Well, if i'm in a fever, i eat a lot of meat, chicken, etc. If i'm not, and still got sniffles or whatnot the "girls" call a flu symptom, i starve as much as possible.

Feed the fever, starve the cold.

If i can't be arsed, i don't go to work, but most likely will if it's not effecting my thinking.

If i think it might spread, stay home.

Oh and sine you posted the poll, go see my doctor if it persists. She's hot :D

Simple formula:

no fever = go to work
fever = call in sick

Someone told me at school that if you sit next to someone who is feeling fine, the best thing is to cough in their face a few time. The cold virus will detect a healthy vessel and move ship, leaving you well, and them with the lurgy

It's just a basic thing of giving protein and stuff to the things(fever, your body fighting back) kicking the flus arse.

When you've got the sniffles, you're just giving the bandits some tummy medicine :D

Because some arse in the BMA said it's best to take nothing, I end up ill for two weeks - nice!

Next time, it's paracetamol and antibiotics for me, and I don't care about the cost to the NHS. Done 9 years without it but getting too old now for that crap to be knocked out of work for a week or so just because the BMA say it's good. Bollocks!

antibiotics wont do anything to a flu or cold as they are viruses not bacteria :p

better off staying warm, and eating and drinking lots :p

Until Christmas I would have said I never get ill! Now I agree with something I read. 'If you think you have the flu, you have a cold. If you think you are dying, you have the flu.' I literally could not move about.
