Yes, I would. In fact, I have done it a lot. Because I know it´s not the waitresses fault and if she´s still showing engagement by saying sorry or still being friendly, then why should I let her suffer for the bs that happened in the kitchen. As I said, I`m paying for the "extra" service.
On the other hand, I`m NOT giving a tip if the waitress is rude, slow, bored or giving me the feeling of bothering her, regardless of how good the food/beer/drink was.

Lets say you go to a restaurant for a sit-down meal. You pay the check, leave $5 tip on the plate, and walk out. What happens to that $5 ? Do you care ? Does *your* waitress get it ? Does it go into a tip bucket and its shared out equally at the end of the night ? Or do you hand the tip directly to the waitress ?

It´s a different system where I live, Lamp.

First off, there is no plate. You´re always paying the waiter directly. He tells you how much you have to pay for the bill, then you can "add" something if you like. (btw. that was a funny situation during my first trip to the UK. Went there with a friend of mine and we had lunch in a restaurant by to the motorway. When we were done, the waitress brought us the bill on a plate and went away.. leaving the two of us sitting there, discussing what to do now, since we just didn´t know that it´s the usual way to just put the money on the plate and leave the restaurant. Took us a while to figure it out. )

What happens to the tip isn´t my cup of tea. If it´s a large restaurant, the waiters are usually sharing at the end of the day. In smaller restaurants or pubs, the waiters usually keep it for themselves.

I wouldnt tip a haircut tbh, its not like its hard, to takes lots of effort. The prices they charge are enough imo.
I tipped when I was on safarri, like our guide who saved us from angry lions etc, and I tip in a nice restaurant, aside from that, i dont really tip.

having said that, when I go and the girl who washes my hair first, and does it well, like a nice head massage, and rubs her tits in my face, I almost consider tipping then

I`m always giving a tip when I`m receiving a service... restaurant, pub, hairdresser, pizza delivery. It´s a sign of: you´ve done an ok job.

My dad was telling me that he used to get his hair cut for 25pence, he'd get tea with a nip of something in it, and an hours worth of blokey chat. Those were the days when you bought condoms at the barbers lol

I tip my barber - he only charges £4.50 so I always give him adecent tip - he does a good job and remembers stuff from the last time I spoke to him as well - always impresses me when people actually take time to remember stuff about their clients etc. I buy barstaff a drink - more when a place is busy - if they are run off their feet its nice to let them know its appreciated - same goes for waiters/waitress's etc - especially if they have big tits j/k.

One waitress in Planet Hollywood in New York once at the end of our meal brought us a guide on how to tip in America - she had been ok but didnt do anything special - and for the cheek of the tip guide - I didnt tip her - NY is very cosmopolitan and who is to say we didnt actually live there - her assumption of our ignorance pissed me off tbh. I have done bar work and waited on when I was a lot younger and always appreciated a tip for good service so now its nice to do the same for someone else tbh.
