I know its a silly thread - i expect some weird and wonderful answers too...

Has anybody had a dream about DAOC whilst they are asleep ?

I haven't yet that i can recall, in 18 months of playing. Dunno if thats a good thing or a bad thing really.

Best dream descriptions win no prizes whatsoever. but im sure we'll have a good laugh reading them.

Can't remember any dreams, anyway i once did some daoc playing irl while asleep. I woke up, went downstairs and shouted : Looking for group! I did it several time until my bro came and asked what the hell I was doing. I just shouted at him that we don't need any gimps like him in our group and that he could go suicide to the dragon. Well thats what i've done.

Hahr that was such crap, but anyway I usually cant get asleep because I'm planning out my next days xp etc. I usually dream about being buggered by a horse though. :(

Dreams are related to what you spend doing in the day; ergo if you can/ do dream you are bound to have dreamt even a little about DAoC.

Isn't sleep the time when basically your brain takes everything you've learned in a day and sorts it out in your head for future reference. Of course, since I'm no neuro-biologist I'll stick to laymans :)

Anyway.. what previous poster said. If you did it during the day, chances are you'll dream about it at night, even if you don't remember.

So.. why did I dream of a girl I realllllly fancied at school about 10 years ago last night? Damned odd... if a month goes by without me having the same dream then it's unusual :/

Well you knew that if i answer, the answer would be yes.

I had a long, -loooong- discussion with Jabrylla once and it was mildly amusing. We talked about the water looking crappy, about tomte's being a bit daft in their daily routine, about Bush and then it changed to a laggy dream and let me tell you, lag in a dream isn't good! Then i finally LD'd and woke up. Talk about a weird fucking dream.

EDIT: Jabrylla thinks Bush is dumber then a smiera-gatto on drugs by the way.

I remember my dreams most nights, and yes I have dreamt about daoc before.... infact, several times especially when I used to play it all day (and by that I mean, wake up - log on -get food/go to loo etc during dragon time - log off - go to bed). Sometimes it was me actually in the "universe" of daoc but the worst is when I dreamt that I was playing it on my pc...

Thankfully, as I play less now, these dreams haven't come back...

I personally do not remember many dreams, my wife on the other hand does and quite often has dreams about the game especially after playing for an extended period.
I can't remember her dreams so I can't let you have an example :D

Oh, in case anyone is interested about remembering their dreams, just make sure you have a pen and some paper next to your bed. When you wake up, write down immediately what you dreamt about, BEFORE you do anything else. If you do this for a while (couple of weeks), you'll start remembering your dreams more and more often.

The key is to write down what you remember (even if it's just a single moment or sensation) AS SOON as you wake up, or even better when you're still half asleep. It doesn't matter if your writiing is a mess, you can copy it later. If you leave it until you've got up, had a shower etc, then you'll most likely have forgotten everything.

Once you remember your dreams every night, you can work towards lucid dreaming but that's something completely different ;)

once had a 12 hour session of CS at a lan at a friends place... his gf told us the next day that that night the only time he was not turning and twisting in his sleep was when he was dead waiting for respawn.. he had dreamt of CS the whole night.

as for daoc dreams.... well there´s a reason Troryn isn´t married :p

I don't dream about daoc as much as I used to, but I dreamt about it nearly every night for a couple of months - always really bizarre dreams too, like I was a Lurikeen sorc standing at pryd bridge trying to get to DF but they'd moved DF and I was all lost...that kinda thing ;)

pretty sure i have dreamt about daoc in the past, maybe when i started playing it, cant remember any of my dreams now though. and thank god too coz any i remember from years ago where just plain freaky :D

I've dreamt about it too, i dreamt that they had put in a another overpowered mid class after the zerker nerf and it could hit stuff 4 times in the first combat round and have selfbuffs that would make the class unslamable an....oh wait....

actually had a wierd dream last week cause i went to sleep right after playing daoc,

I dreamt i was running after a bunch of people in emain exept it looked like my neighborhood, and i was stuck to one of them but lost stick and kept falling down some sloap,, also remember slapping a wall with my hand while some wierd thing that i knew was a kobbie kept telling me to not use styles!

all i remember :p

yar I dreamt about it last week like bein me but runnin around in Alb an ... I dunno wtf I was doin but I know I was there ..ingame...twas whacked :/

I had a dream
I was a paladin :| i was killing a plated feind then my IRL friend came and stabbed it in the back of the head and it ran off crying...sad ass dream and my imagination is so screwed atm :|

I don't dream about DAoC but in my dreams i can Con and Target IRL people... then you wake up and wonder wtf you can't open up your inventory... just don't dream about DAoC chars/etc...

I allways remember my dreams, sometimes it gets a little bit too much since I sometimes wake up and thinking "That's a good idea" and when I tell my friends about it they double over in laughter and suddenly it's not such a good idea any more ;)

Often dreamt about daoc when I lived back at campus on my old university (had access to 100MB broadband 24/7 for free) and I was playing from the moment I woke up untill I went to bed again.

- The Dream -

Was running around in East Svealand as a little lowbie together with Lambsbreed hunting mobs and suddenly I went towards this little hut and then a huge bus with loads of wounded people (all players) arrived and they were put into the hut for medical care.

This was just before the launch of Camlann and I was kinda exited about that server so after a while in the dream I figured out that these players/pee had been injured in realm and that shouldn't be possible, so I investigated it and I found out that the GM's had accidentaly pulled the PvP button from "OFF" to "ON" on excalibur :D

So, the dream continued with me being chased by FG's and I was running around solo and got ganked time after time after.. well, like being City-exit camped on camlann ;)

It was kinda too weird a dream :)
