Don't get me started on MCR.... Stereotypical, dime a dozen piece of crap emo group. I won't say they didn't have some sort of musical-talent (coughs) but WHY did they have to play towards the emo scene? Because it's the ONLY way they'd make some cash... If you lived in Surrey you'd know how bloody annoying it is seeing every 13-18 year old wearing MCR hoodies/tight jeans/tops that don't fit and having silly hair. - Just plain stupid.

What can we do though? Nothing - Because people (including yourself, English) don't know what it feels like to NOT follow in some sort of 'omg we like this so we hang together' group. (I could be wrong, but you know - I'm generalising here)

At least with what I listen to I get the feeling of knowing that I don't have to deal with FOTM kiddies liking it. It's here, it's been around for a while, it's going to stay around (wow, I have a secure band taste =D) and for god-damn-sure it's better than Greenday and MCR.

I'm just sick of the whole thing, the clothes are the one thing I find the funniest though. - The rise of Emo will happen... To be honest I don't really care what music you listen to overdriven. No matter what "scene" you belong to, it's your taste. Perhaps your "scene" isn't based on music taste, but then it'll be based on something else. Policital views. sport or religion? Every scene has something that their followers have to (atleast broadly) agree on. That's what makes the scene exist, and in a way all scenes' participants "act like the rest" but for scenes based on music and clothing taste, it just shows more.
I don't see you shouting "bloody right wing blair asskissers, they all just do that to be popular", but that's probably only because you can't see from the outside who's a rightwing politician, or a polo-fan. You can with emo's, goths, or nerds. And face it, everyone here has some nerdyness in them. I say you all do that to be popular QQ now go be yourself!!

thanks, saved me writing this as ivejust woken up. And fyi OD, I have 1 other friend who likes Greenday. We arent Emos, we have just liked them for a long time. I dont wear skinny jeans, have hair like russel brand (check myspace). Infact i only have 1 Greenday hoodie :<

the beegees are very talented and i personally dont like them (a few of their songs are better when sang by other people), but i dont think you can stereotype gay people into liking village people and the beegees without sounding foolish.

I wasn't saying it was the people who hang around with... Perhaps I didn't make myself clear (was 7am, so forgive me) - What I was pretty much trying to get through is that most people who hang around in groups (Chavs, in this case) usually have the same sort of mindset and have to follow what they see on TV. (Here: What's on TV is cool to them, they must do drugs, smoke etc) - Same with others (emo in this case): They see a band like MCR and instantly fall in love.


I wasn't flaming it, but most people these days need to be stuck in the group; regardless of what it is. (Hell, I'm in a small group)

Hmm... My group? The small 5-6 of us? DAoC players, IT Students, and a mix (from rap->thrash metal) of music fans... Sure, not the best. But it works.



Anyway, am too tired and running out of things to stay. I stick to the fact that I don't like greenday, and to the fact that you don't like me. (Not that it makes much difference to my life)
